Looks like they forgot the Nokia G20?

they Forgot that have customers waiting for an update?

I thought Android One meant "quick update".

But now that many companies have released Android 12 for their phones, but Nokia ....

We will be like Nokia 7.2.

At least we can expect them to release bug-free update 😂

Nokia G10, G20, T20, G21, X10 & X20

Nokia G10, G20, T20 in UAE are not receiving monthly security patches and still running on March Security Patch in June.

Nokia X10 & X20 in UAE is running on April Security Patch with no trace of any new build update after the initial Android 12 update with on going bugs and animation lags. Why X Series are called the premium ones now.

Nokia G21 in UAE is still Android 12 ready.

So my question is why should anyone choose Nokia phones over other manufacturers.

This proves time and again that HMD and their strategy fails big time.

It depends on what were the terms of that licensing deal. And it is between hmd and Nokia. They never shared it in the public domain. There will definitely be a clause in the agreement about what happens at the end of the licensing agreement.

The possibilities are:

HMD will sign a new licensing agreement to continue using the Nokia brand.
Nokia will not license the brand to hmd and will look for some other interested party.
Nokia will acquire hmd and start running the company under its name -- Very unlikely given the current events
HMD will get bankrupt even before the 10 year period expires and that's the end of Nokia brand in the world of phones

The outcome will depend on how HMD performs. The first point is what should happen ideally, but it largely depends on how well hmd's operations are running and if or not they manage to sustain the business while also building the value for the Nokia brand name. Nokia should only be concerned with the income from the sales and the value of its brand. The value is said to have increased during the past years, so, they are definitely okay with it so far I'd say.

Nokia is getting a new CEO soon, who will make a decisive role in it too. Who knows.. Maybe he decides to spend some cash and acquire HMD Global. However, as if today, Nokia doesn't seem to be in good cash standings. Even the talks of possible acquisition of Nokia are showing up.

In case Nokia gets acquired by some company, then that company will decide what happens to hmd.

HMD and upgrades? Haha! They can't even manage to update the 7.2 with Android 11! Here in Germany there is no Android 11 for the 7.2 and in the countries where the 7.2 got Android 11, the list of bugs is long - including the bug that you can only charge the 7.2 when it is switched off! HMD wants to sell you a new device every month so that you are on the latest security patch level. The 8.1 is at October 2021 when it should still be getting updates until December 2021!

The only sensible thing to do is not to buy devices from HMD/Nokia. It's better for health, device safety, the environment and your wallet. HMD/Nokia cheats and lies without shame!

I have been using a Pixel 5 since the beginning of 2021 without any problems and the person who previously had the 8.1 now has a Pixel 6!

Still no Android 12

I haven't received yet android 12 on Nokia G20 ta 1365 Spain.
