Geekyranjit is that kind of Utuber who gives class review & finds the embedded story out of a device. ...if its not then. . He wouldn't get 2.4M subscribers.... & these subscribers are not fool...if he has mentioned then definitely it has some hiccups. And if u hear the full review u will knw... He has mentioned the NEG glass...
Sorry bro. I too trust GeekyRanjit , but the problems he faced in his device I have faced none except the oversharpening of pics resulting to lose details in front camera pics. His review was a little biased as I thought creating faults in almost everything the device. The build quality of this device is THE BEST at this price where he flawed it even

@Argho Sarkar I found one solution on Background Exposure On Front Camera.Just tap on object as well as on background it decreases lights and take background details without any problem.Still there is issue on photos not up to the mark.
  • Android 9 will be updated for Nokia 8

Yeaa build quality wise... None can beat nokia & style wise too..  But the main highlighted camera with Zeiss optics still lacks. Where pricing is soo high.

@wyk you missed this thing.Check it.This is for you and all other follower of geeky ranjit.Nokia 8.1 Rear Camera is far better than Poco F1(Good in some cases)and It Just Weak In Front Camera.Your preference i.e. Skintone you like on PofoPhone doesn't matter on everyone. When we look photos pocofone has more saturated images than Nokia. We have seen camera difference between them on other channels as well.i.e.https://youtu.be/gL8jMMsSvr8

@nitin kachare yes sometimes Nokia 8.1 produced better image  ... But I did expect this new 8.1's camera will outwash Poco completely ...but the scenario is quite different.

@wyk Both Have Same Sony IMX Sensor 363 Just Difference is on Aperture How Can Both Wash Out Each Other. They have their Own Advantage i.e.Better ISP on Poco and OIS i.e.Secondary Sensor On Nokia 8.1 So We will get mixed results according to Stock Camera Preference.Like Nokia Camera always focus on text whether it is in background or anywhere else.Yes I agree Nokia Camera Will have to Work Something Great like Pixels HDR+Enhanced.

Nokia is with f/1.8 whereas poco f/1.9 which means better low light performance... The main difference is creating the processor itself spectra ISP 280 vs 250... For which I think they are charging high as 7 plus was charged to fill the midrange gap.

  • @nitin kachare I saw it on gupta information youtube channel. Its quite interesting to see Nokia 8.1 servived 6 Feet.Back Glass also servived 8-10 feet.Amazing.
Dont get excited dear friend..I just got my 8.1 day before yesterday.within 48 hrs the phone accidentally slipped from my pocket(just one feet fall) and the screen shattered immediately(though touch is working some how).I never saw such a slippery, fragile handset in my life.very heart burning experiance.I am fan of Nokia off late for its robhust built quality..but now..I cant.At least Nokia should take care of protecting screen which is most important on hardware point of view.

No glass is full proof ,and it depends on which angles certain glass breaks,I have dropped mine twice no dents and no scratches till now,a glass is a glass and it's certainly not a bullet proof military armour grade one ,so yes it will break,I have seen my friends 6t break from pocket hight, poco as expected has broken in front of me,infact Asus also zenfone5z,the only biggest grudge is repairing cost which is very high for Nokia phones and availablity of parts ,this I have also mentioned on their Instagram ,the local service needs to be worked out

Yes front camera has a bit blown out image ,as Nitin has suggested try and turn of hdr and see if it helps, however there is no loss of details on the subject, like Nokia 7 plus which was really pathetic in terms of front camera ,looked like a picture taken from 5mp camera

I think they definetly going to solve this issue on or after Nokia 9 release as it is mainly focused on camera performance they need to improve image processing code and pass it on to all Nokia phones as OTA update including 8.1

@yellumahanti ramprasad It's depends on where are you dropping your phone and As your kind information my nokia 8.1 also dropped due to vibration and not having any case while charging at home but surface is tiles so it servive. You have to be careful for your device as you paid lots of money.Afterall it's glass design not metal or polycorbonate.Personally I prefer Metal i.e.Aluminum 8000 Series Block than Glass Design.Glass and Metal Both have advantage and dis-advantage.

@nimisha gupta Right now you have one option to take selfies without problem i.e. Use Pro Mode(It doesn't have any beutify)and Wait For New Camera Update From Nokia.

Its a community forum. . any nokia fan or user can comment here I think irrespective of device. If someone thinks otherwise.. .he or she can mention the rule where that's written.

    I don't govern doesn't mean I cant judge the governance...😆 Noobs theory.

    @munnasharma,
nokia 8.1 has an NEG glass protection, not sure which version.....
that's why not included in its specifications, but NEG is a japanese competitor to Gorilla and produce as durable and tough glass

Ya talked like a real noob surely, doesn't own any of the devices and starts to comment and surely their should be a rule to register as per device or promote the user as per device to the forum's so there can be a proper level talk
It is very much about using the device and some idiots don't have it they can just sit aside and comment all the **** they want

This guy really is baised or he has a lemon with him his comparison is self contradictory itself ,on his very Q&A the users have posted live use results that it beats 6t in picture quality and low light that sort of conforms the review from inidatoday here is one more  review from his counter part

Well, if glass is glass and it breaks..then why gorilla glasses, dragon trails employed on mobiles? Its because toughened glasses do protect costly screen to some extent..I do have sony, oneplus and Asus handsets and they all survived so many falls on different surfaces.Even my Nokia Lumia doesnt suffer any damage during numerous fall outs.I dont think all these handsets survived due to my luck..8.1 is undoubtedly a fragile handset and the glass protection (for a costly flagship level touted handset) is expected to be good if not great.
I just shared my experiance in this forum to alert enthusiasts who put their hard earned money on mobiles and definitely not to made a debatable issue.Hope every one understand.
8.1 is really great handset.Superb display, buttery smooth, latest software and many more goodies.. with some flaws like slippery, fragile, not so great fast charging and slow touch response at times.

You shared your experience so did I,nothing for debate here, and toughened glass is still a glass,it will always be fragile no matter and no matter which company claims it to be hard as daimond, yes a case and a protector is advisable always,no slow tocuh responses here ,that's why I always feel that 7 plus  was a tad more sturdy because of metal body,a little extra care is necessary with glass devices (for me)

My Nokia 8.1 Charging takes 88-93 minutes from 0%-100% if keeping completely switch off.If Switched On and Display Off then it takes 100-105 Minutes.
