  • I m giving u a simple solution to this problem.
    Follow these steps.
    1. Settings
    2. Security and location
    3. Screen lock
    4. Choose screen lock as NONE or u can choose Swipe.
    5. Switch off ur device.
    6. Turn it on. (Don't go for restart)
    7. Go to settings
    8. Security and location
    9. Screen lock
    Choose fingerprint + pin
Now the phone will ask u to add fingerprint. Go for it with your desired fingerprint
U will see ur problem is fixed.
If still u find any difficulty there might be problem with hardware. Remember Nokia phones are very prone to water damage.

Not a proper solution but still working for me. Never turn on your phone immediately after plugging the charger when it shuts down because of low battery. Wait until it gets 10%+ charged. This a bit annoying in certain conditions but still that's the only working solution i have found so far.
Just tried it out: Workaround is working ... not the ideal solution, but better than entering fingerprints again and again

Only if you chuck them in water.

What will be the solution for this problem about the fingerprint scanner that all save fingerprints get erased when the phone gets battery empty or drained? Its really annoying

Charge till 20%+ and turn on the phone after that. It seems that battery-saving feature creates this problem.

I have Nokia 8 and this worked for me. Nokia knows the problem and is still resolving it, but this workaround has worked for me 100%.
