    My phone Pie beta, no January security update.

    I didn't get January update on Nokia 8 TA-1004 pie 9.0

    Update patch received in Spain as well on"stable" Pie but issues are not fixed for a change. Fingerprints are unset if battery is at 0%. Voice mtach not available in Spanish, some other translation incomplete: words in both Spanish and English. Intelligent battery not included in this update either and so on.... Bravo, nokia!

    I can confirm, with this update the "Missing finger prints" is fixed. At least HMD fixed one of the problems.

    What happened with battery? On Oreo using all day my phone I still had ~70% of battery. Now Pie drains it to 50%. Shame on you, Nokia.
    Compass issue still not fixed, Voice Match doesn't work.
    It is not enough to say that they broke my phone with Pie. On Oreo everything worked fine. They should give us a choice stay on Oreo or update to this Pie(ce) of...

    I havn't got the January security update yet and I'm still waiting for the Pie update as well, I'm on EE in the UK so that's probably the reason for the delay on both.

    Hope they fix the compass issue asap. I'll be exploring abroad and needed the compass for directions.

    @Nate while I also have high hopes for that, never go without an actual compass! It's good to have the phone's compass as a backup though...

    In this moment my Nokia 8 received the January-Security-Patch (78,6 MB). My 8 has the "Beta"- Pie Version, NOT the "final". 
    The download includes ONLY the January-Security-Patch, NO "final" Pie, NO Update for the camera-firmware. "Congratulations", HMD. 😡

    Seems to be available here as well (TA-1004, Finland). Yay, a little less need to be worried about being forever stuck on updateless beta then :smile:

    I have just installed it on my beta 8 in the UK. Now we have to wait for the Pie upgrade. Here's hoping it would be a good one.

    Yes, of course. Waiting, "comming soon", waiting, "comming soon",....
    And so on. I ask me, what makes HMD bettter than, for example, Samsung? I speak here from/ over the support for her FLAGSHIPS.

    The Galaxy S9 is only just receiving Android 9 to be fair, that is a fact and not a defence of HMD.

    Yes, it's okay. But, I bought a Nokia 8 and not a 5, 6 or 7. I know, the support for A6, A7 or A8 isn't so good. But, I know it, when I buy this Smartphones. And, Android Pie for S9/ S9+ works correctly. And this for "our" 8??? Without words. 😒
