    I also got the call from +91 9931069671 on 05 Feb 2019 at 2:22
The Caller told me that he is calling from nokia and told me that I have purchased Nokia Mobile from shopclues and I will have the chance to win tata safari, etc. etc.
Since I have not purchased it from shopclues, I asked him his name, and he answered as Rakesh Kumar. Then again forcefully I asked him his email id but he hanged the call.

The issue is that, from where these people getting details that I own the nokia phone which I have bought just one week before ?

Yeah one should not give out any personal details or money to these fraudsters because if there were any such offers it would be published on the Nokia forum, its social media channels or websites..... Also we should be able to convince ourselves that usually NO AMOUNT is charged to enter the contest and subsequently a prize draw.
Be aware of this and the right thing to do if you receive any such offers is you just IGNORE it or you could file a complaint !
  • Thank you for the heads up Laura

@HMD_Laura thanks for warning everyone, much appreciated

Please look into the matter, as due to Nokia design fault in my 5.1 plus they are charging me 1200rs for repair.
The avoidance solution is pretty simple: DO NOT USE original USB-C cable.
I personally use the charger for Microsoft Lumia 950 XL for about one year and my USB-C port is still fine.
  • Dear Nokia,
thanks for warning everyone, much appreciated.

👆🏻 Here's a screenshot of the SMS sent by those fraudsters received by my Aunt on 05th February, 2019.

I too had received such SMS on 04th February, 2019, But, I had deleted it. However, I have the screenshot of the Call log from the cell no. (+91) 7250052165. That guy pretended to be an employee of Shopclues.com, he did not even mention his name and designation. I have marked his call as a Spam call.
Here's the screenshot of the said call log👇🏻

I request HMD Global to investigate this and get to the bottom of this matter. If required, Please lodge a police complaint by registering a F.I.R.

It appears that somebody within your company or from the courier company is leaking customer data to such fraudsters.

I and my aunt had purchased Our Nokia Phones from your website. The guy who had called from the aforementioned number knew perfectly well that I had even won Nokia Bluetooth earphones as lucky draw.
Wauu...what language they used? It's English or something else... British USA people ll suicide after seeing this engolish..lol
  • Wow, thank you for the heads up, Laura! Be careful out there, fellas.

If the Original USB Type C cable is not used,,,,then the suggestion is buy/use another cable.... what is HMD view on the above?

    Dear Srikanth.

Never reply to such mails. It is clearly a scam. The three email addresses you have shared doesn't belong to Nokia mobiles and Nokia is not conducting any such give aways or competitions as of now. If you have lost any money already please report to authorities.
