Ranking System and Points

Hey y’all,

As many of you have already noticed we introduced a Ranking System a while ago. Below I give you a little overview about the Ranks, how you can improve them and for what Points are actually for.

New Users start with

Rank 1

• Creating new discussions is disabled
• Sending Private Messages is disabled
• Formatting posts is disabled (whereas including links to other pages is allowed)

After being registered for 24h Users will be granted

Rank 2

• Sending Private Messages is disabled

When earning 100 points User gets promoted to

Rank 3

• All functions are granted 

After earning 550 points the User will receive

Rank 4

The User gets ‘verified’. Posts are verified and won’t end up in Spam/Moderation queue anymore and don’t have to be approved by the Moderators / Admins.

Points – How to get them and what are they for?

You can earn points with your active participation in the Forum.

You receive one point for:

• Each comment you make
• Each Like/Agree/lol on your comment

You receive five points for:

• A promotion on your post
• And for most badges you can receive (beware: there are some exceptions)

You lose one point for:

• Every disagree with your post
• When your post gets reported as Spam (Post reported 5 times will be placed in the Spam queue)
• When your post gets reported as “Abuse” (After 5 time reporting it, the post ends up in Moderation queue)

For now, Points are mainly for getting a higher Rank in the forum.
