    Just wait. It will come soon. The previous update was available in Romania and not available in Bulgaria. Now it is available in Bulgaria from 2 weeks and you will wait :) Don't worry, it will come soon.
    My phone is TA-1004 and bought from Emag Romania.

    And the wait goes on and on. HMD staff must be running around like a bunch of headless chickens, not knowing which phones issues to fix first! If any.I see that an update has already been made available for the N9 to improve the camera! Already? Looks like it's following the path of the N8. As an aside, my wife's Samsung S9 is already on Pie with the February security update. I am not happy!!!

    Very strange. My phone is TA-1004 unlocked, bought from Emag Romania. But I'm from Bulgaria. 
    My phone is already with February security patch.

    I did several times, they just don't help at all, they tell us to wait. Neither by insisting on the subject, and showing them you know well about the subject, they wont help and keep acting like we are not important. Contacting support is useless

    One option I was given by support was to try a SIM card from another operator. I used an old SON from a previous contract with a different operator, which no longer exists. I checked for updates and BAM, there it was. As soon as I went back to my current SIM card then the update disappeared again.

    The monthly patches don't have to be made available in the month they are from, they have 60 or 90 days to push them, cant remember which one it is but either way it doesn't have to be as quick as we would all like.

    Apart from the usual VoLTE compatibility concerns, could it be that some operators have spotted the compass issue and refuse further updates until that is fixed?

    Surely a phone is either VoLTE or not and it is down to the networks to accommodate it or do you have an actual problem with VoLTE not working where it once did with the same network/SIM etc.

    My Nokia 8 has never had the option of turning VoLTE on and there is no VoLTE icon or anything when you are on a call but when the call is in HD i can only assume VoLTE is working just fine and it is just enabled in the background these days.

    TA-1004 Orange Romania still no upgrade to Pie v5.140. since i upgraded from oreo i can't use my phone's camera to film anything because of crackling noises. and still on january patch ffs HMD what's wrong with you?

    Are the toggles regarding VoLTE etc. active or not?
    What do you think about the other half of my guesswork?

    I'm not sure what you mean by guesswork, i don't recall saying you was guessing at anything and i only told you how it has been with my Nokia since purchase in October 2017.

    As soon as i disable Wi-Fi (and therefore VoWiFi) VoLTE is enabled in the background and HD calling becomes available when connected to 4G.

    When i am connected to 3G or WiFi then VoLTE is no longer available for obvious reasons.

    Thanks for the hint! I'm also trying to find out if VoLTE/VoWiFi works on my Nokia 8 in o2 network or why it doesn't work?! According to o2 it should with my contract ... but it doesn't; both points are grayed out and not selectable (at the bottom):

    In the UK if you bought your (Android) phone SIM free it is pot luck as to whether it will work or not, the only way to guarantee it is to buy it from the network you are going to use it on.

    My Nokia 8 for instance can use both VoLTE and VoWiFi on EE but does not have it available on O2 or Three, at the end of the day it is down to the network to provision the device, well to be more accurate the SIM card and not the manufacturer.

    13th march still no February update. At this rate we might as well skop it and just give us the march update 🙄
  • As soon as I can afford it I'll be getting rid of this Nokia and opting for a phone from a manufacturer that actually cares.

    For anyone that has not received an update and thinks they should have you asked support directly?

    I did and this is what they suggested to me:
    1. Go to Settings > Apps and notifications > App info > Google Play services > Storage > Clear data and Clear cache
    2. Settings > Security and location > Location Off
    3. Soft reset: Press and hold at the same time Power key and Volume Up for Only 10 sec, until short phone vibration and Powered by Android message. Your phone will restart, without deleting your data.
    4. Please remove the phone SIM card. (Also you can try it with SIM card from another operator)
    5. After that, please check for the update availability via Wi-Fi network: Settings > System > System update > Check for update

    That didn't work for me. The other options were:

    1. Try another SIM card - this did work for me when I tried an old (no longer valid) SIM card from another operator so I can confirm that this can work
    2. Factory reset
    3. Wait...!
    4. Send for repair under warranty (they told me that it would be done under warranty).
    I suggest trying both 1 and 2 at least.

    Am Im really not supposed to install the December version before I'm given the February patch?

    Because it's getting stupid. By the time I'll receive it, I'll be once again better off just waiting for the next update. All the issues it has aren't encouraging either.
