Whilst I think those pics are funny, we might be unfair on @juho because he might not have a choice, he might not be responsible for the post-release maintenance and update of software, but as he seems to be the main company personality/spokesperson he ends up taking all the blame.

On the other hand, all of the discredit may be entirely fair and reasonable.

    Who knows! :D

Nothing personal against him, but he is the face of current Nokia whether he likes it or not. He's the one bragging about all the phones running Pie, he's making all the promises. I know he's not running the company all by himself, but I don't really care because shouting at him on twitter is the only form of complaining that seems to matter in the least. Not even in the sense that he sees it (I'm sure they know all about it anyway), but that all others do too, because bad publicity is what can make a lot of difference in the end.

@madbillyPlease, was there any reaction from HMD?

If I may cite this (seems to relate):

We'll make sure the next update will fix it! Scammer's honour!

@marsic I'm guessing that's not really a quote from HMD right? It's sarcasm? Just checking ;)

@madbilly that's what HMD support staff keep saying whenever you report problems to them. Try it, it'd be hilarious if it weren't tragic.

Edit: yeah, the last two words are my added "spicing", but the rest is already notorious "HMD cliche."

Thanks @marsic, I thought I hadn't encountered that particular piece of HMD bot staff vocabulary yet. :D

The silence has become deafening hasn't it, i think I'd still hate my Nokia 8 now even if some celestial being came down to earth and gave it the perfect update, the damage has been done sadly.

    I wouldn't hate Nokia 8. I hate HMD Global.

Seems a bit harsh to hate the entire company, after all it was my choice to buy the Nokia 8. As i have said before the number of happy owners far outweighs the number of unhappy owners. Just look on here and it is always the same people expressing their views (which obviously included me). Most people don't give a toss what security patch or Android version they are on or when the last update was.

Out of the 4 people i know that actually use a Nokia 8 and using the methods shampoo and cosmetic companies use 75% of people agreed it is a great phone (based on a survey of 4) :D

Any answer to your email so far? Compass and dual SIM tray is really annoying!

@potemkin i agree about the imminent meltdown, it's gonna be a delicious day when they'll implode due to incapable/insufficient human resources. Starting from the management and idiotic processes (or lack of), moronic focus on positive feedback while ignoring all the problems that people faced in their products and services, like a bunch of debilitated cretins... All those trust-annihilating "mistakes" killing background app services, sending data to China, etc...
OMG, it's deplorable... How is HMD still a thing?

@marsic I would bet that silver-tongued Sarvikas even after the HMD's meltdown and bankruptcy would have no problems finding another big company to work for at C-level. I was always amazed how all those C-level buffoons were always welcomed with open arms in new companies even after they've run down their previous companies. It's mind boggling.
