Is there a way to turn off automatic software updates?

My phone keeps downloading updates without me wanting it to. It's very annoying and I just updated it accidently by doing a normal restart.

My phone keeps downloading updates without me wanting it to. It's very annoying and I just updated it accidently by doing a normal restart. Since hearing all the problems on this forum about the update I did not want to update so soon

Why bother? There are hardly any updates to begin with.

Hi, go to Settings > System > About phone. There you have to tap 7 times quickly on Build number. You will get a toast notification that "You're now a developer".
Now toh can go one step back and enter Developer Options.

@AniketThakur once I have unlocked "developer options" and disabled the auto updates,

if I was to turn off the "developer options" would the auto updates be turned back on?

Just making sure I don't balls up phone.

The values will be likely reset to their default if you turn off developer options. Not fully sure, but that's what I expect.
