Nokia 1 does it have a proximity sensor

I have had this phone a couple of months. It's a pain when I am on a call as I keep accidently putting the call on hold by touching the screen with my ear or face. My previous phone did this and I managed to sort the proximity sensor. I can't find this function on the phone. Can anyone help thanks

Yes, Nokia 1 has proximity sensor. But there is no option to manage it. Try to reset your phone.

I had same proximity sensor issue also on my 6.1. It happened after system update. You just need to restart your phone again, and proximity sensor will work properly.
Actually, this is not a sensor problem, screen just do not lock automatically when you hold phone close to your ear. This it some software bug on Nokia phones with Android ONE, and it's happened again after another system update. And again you need only restart the phone one more time after update installing.
