I've finally rooted my Nokia 8.1 X7

As you might already read on my Twitter... Appearently HMD doesn't want us to unlock their newest phone root it.
So the whole procedure is a bit painful but I eventually made it.

Appearently, I do not encourage you to root your device or you'll lose warranty, but I'm a hardcore developer and Nokia enthusiast, why not? 

Mine is a TA-1131 (Chinese Nokia X7).

No, this is not a guide, and I will not tell you how to root it

Good job @hikari calyx. I wish HMD was offering unlocks officially. But well, thankfully they do unlock 1 phone 😅. Now your next job is to find out how to get past that FUSE/secureboot or else rooting will continue to be painful even for the unlocked users.

Hopefully I too will learn the trick one day 😁

Yes, and it can still pass SafetyNet and CTS.

No, at least in China.

But the DRM key will be lost (Only X7 / 8.1). Losing DRM key means: You can't enjoy DRM protected HD videos like Netflix HD. I don't watch Netflix at all, so I don't mind.
I'm investigating how to recover DRM key.
