The same problem on Nokia 9. Even after April update. I hope they are working on resolution...
  • How to fix it?

It can be the finger print hardware problem. Please visit your nearest authorised Nokia service centre.

I'd recommend that you remove the finger and add it in the exact angles in which you touch the FP scanner while unlocking. That removed the problem for me :) Just add it in the exact angles/points which you use while unlocking.

If the fingerprint sensor on your Nokia device is not working, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue. Some possible solutions include:

    1. Make sure that your device is updated to the latest software version, as updates may contain bug fixes and improvements that could resolve the issue.
    2. Clean the fingerprint sensor with a dry cloth. Dust or dirt on the sensor can prevent it from functioning properly.
    3. Restart your device. Sometimes, a simple restart can help fix a problem like this.
    4. Check that your fingers are clean and dry. Moist or dirty fingers can interfere with the sensor's ability to read fingerprints correctly.
    5. Try re-registering your fingerprints. Go to the settings on your device, find the fingerprint sensor settings and re-add your fingerprints.
    6. Check if the sensor is damaged or defective and if so, you may need to replace the device or contact the manufacturer for repair service.

If none of the above solutions work, it may be best to contact the manufacturer or the retailer from where you purchased the device for further assistance.
