If the ota downloaded why stop it and pull a Sim out in the middle of the process?

I am in France and did my update using a UK SIM card; I believe it's safe to do the whole OTA update with any SIM card. I think that the software for HMD's phones is the same globally (except the Chinese versions) and the configuration for a specific device is set at runtime depending on network provider and location. This means that it doesn't matter which SIM card you use to update OTA, so long as it's one which finds an update for you! After update you should be able to change the SIM card back to your normal one without problem.

I have completed the installation using the European SIM card, it installs Android 10 and Security Patch from Nov 2019. After that, with the T-Mobile SIM is on the device, the Security Patches are going through up to February 2020.

Probably an app causing the issue. Boot into safe mode and see if it happens. Backup your data and do a factory reset without restore.

I received a few days ago a february patch on my 1 plus i noticed and improvement in performance with this patch compared to the previous one, excellent in this aspect.

Now i will have to wait until to end of April-May (Nokia 1 plus). It is not for nothing but hopefully there is no other roadmap after the deadlines are met again, i have a bitter feeling i was waiting for the update soon.
