Community on “My phone” app

Hi y’all,

We have changed the way you log on to our services. So far the “My phone” app supported the old and the new way – this will change on 28th of September.  To avoid any Error messages when trying to use the community via the app, please update your “My phone” app to the latest version.

If you already have the latest version you are good to go 😊

    Thanks for the information and glad that it is sticky post here. So, even logged out users will be able to see it at the top if they fail to login :)

    Great. I was about to post a discussion thread about some glitches/ bugs/ errors, etc that are encountered in the app.

    Hey there @HMDLaura why can't I open the "insert an image" option. I'm unable to upload the images in the community. And whenever I type something in the text menu and tap something to edit it redirects to the storage menu of the settings. Could you please look that out.

    I think they aren't going to respond for anything. I have posted the same thing in the playstore reviews too. They aren't responding to anything.

    I couldn't log in or join with Nokia community though i have installed and updated My phone nokia app and using latest version. Now i am using  web browser to log in nokia community because official app for support of device (Nokia's my mobile) does not work fast every page open slow .. so use web browser to join or be connected with community

    @HMDLaura There are few bugs which must be need to get fixed.

    1. When I open any thread it takes 8-10 sec to lead first and then once it gets finished when I tap on comment for answer or reply someone it takes me to gallery to attach photos.

    2. When i tap for back page it directly get on home page. 

    3. Before i could read some more cmnts on thread it again get refreshed and take me again to home page. It's so annoying to use app.

    4. I never sign out on my phone app but still it ask me to sign in again and shows some error.

    Please consider this feedback.
    Try keeping the app in the recents or just lock down your phone for a second and open the app it refreshes. The app always refreshes no matter if there is sufficient ram to run this app too.

  • This my phone app is very glitchy. Always takes to main page and i i have to find thread again. On clicking inside writing area, takes to file attatching option/ file explorer, on coming back it takes to homescreen again. Anytime i go away from chat to check whatsapp wh fb, it again refreshes and take to homescreen and i have to find the thread again. Why, havent nokia tested it. It was bad enough that everyone had to repair charging port. It gives company bad press and definitely make people think twice before buying nokia again.

    Thank you for the update Nokia Community, you people have resolved most the important issues on the My Phone app. Hope it's gets a better UI.

    Tapping on the text area still redirects to the storage menu of the settings. Every issue has been removed except this one.

    Yes, I am also facing the same issue. The app automatically logs me out and asks me to sign in again.

    do you still face the log in issue? I tried to reproduce it with different accounts but so far haven't faced any issues. In case you're still facing them can you tell me what exactly happens and how you log in (FB/Google/ Mail ?).

    When I've reported about the issue that's the last time I faced log in issue. I think the issue might have fixed with the latest update. I'll let you know if I face any log in issues again. Ive logged in using Email.

    Most of the time I log in using mail (On desktop at my work office). I get log in link on my mail and when I click on that link it redirects to sign in page of community. And I need to type my mail id again to receive new link. After that it takes 20-30 secs to load the site and then I get logged in. 

    I face same issue on my phone log in too whenever i use my mail id. And in rare case it happens with facebook sign in too.

    Can we have an app separately for the Nokia community? It doesn't have to come preinstalled, new users could be prompted about installing the app when they are setting up their device. On my phone, whenever I start typing anything on the community page it crashes, some times it opens up my file browser for uploading a file. I also need to log in every time I open the app.

    Hi @amal joe , you mean as well as the community forum being in the My Phone app? Just because you don't like that app's other features or because you want a different interface to the community forum?

    Every other functions in the app works well for me 😌. But the community forum section was experiencing those problems from the launch 😫. I am not sure about this, but... is it just opening up the web page inside the app using chrome? won't it function better in phone if it is a propper application?🤔
