Nokia's marketing strategy

My opinion about Nokia
1. Nokia is releasing all phones on android one,    every phones are getting 2 OS updates and 3 years of software updates, that's very nice.
2. Built quality is very good with 6000 series.
3. Camera with Zeiss optics lens, that's very good partnership.

But,
I think these type of marketing strategy will be successful only in European countries and American countries.

In SAARC countries and African countries, peoples only see the camera, Ram, storage, battery during buying phones, they never follow the UI, software, built quality, security updates which is Nokia's marketing strategy, that's why Nokia is failing in these countries. Currently Nokia ranks 13th in global smartphone shippment, this doesn't match with this brand where Realme, just 18 months old brand, ranks 7th,
One biggest thing is that, the after sale service is very very poor, believe it or not.
HMD should definitely re-think their strategy, otherwise HMD loosing their market.

Agreed too. And the trend in EU will also change now that Xiaomi and Realme have entered EU. Also, we can't say that the strategy is working well in these countries either. We shouldn't forget that Huawei and Samsung are the biggest shareholders in EU countries and none of them market their phones for software updates and users do not complain either.
Customers may appreciate software updates, but that's an after effect. The updates tag does not help in selling the phone in the first place. Also, updates are probably not even needed when there's an enriched OS which can do what the customer expects. Like I do not see people complaining if their Redmi or Realme doesn't have the latest security patch. But they will complain if a feature (say Call Recording, Dual APPS, Gaming Mode, Dark Mode; etc) is not available.

I'm partially agree with you. Service centers are not giving good service like we had before 2014. Also there are a lot of factors like offline and online marketing strategy too matters a lot. Like other brands having micro influencers for social media marketing, also they have a lot of campaign on social media to keep engaging the fans, they keep workshops every three months, photomeet at every six months, music fest in universities and have campus ambassadors in college.
Right now nokia having different social media marketing. They just selected only 5-10 insta/fb accounts for campaign and having nokia community fans that's it.
At offline market there is no one to offer or recommend customer nokia. They just promotes what's trending even when they know some product is not good as compare to nokia.
