Hey guys as you all know that yesterday jio launched Vowifi in all india.
In the operator list thr is no nokia phone listed।
Plz guys let's find or tell me how to enable it।
It's area dependent too
Currently Nokia is not supporting this feature.
Nope , Nokia NPU updated that nokia is supporting
not universal ...may be released by OTA.
ll nokia provide us this feature by OTA.
I have contacted to Jio. They told me N7P is not compltible now
You can't enable it because of hardware limitations.....
As per Nokia, VoWiFi is under testing and will be rolled out once testing is complete.
Nokia 6.2 has a option to enable vowifi in settings. Not yet tested though.
It's a shame on Nokia. Even Micromax, Xolo, Spice handsets are providing this feature. Dear Nokia, Tell us why should we pay 26k for Nokia?
But not in india.
Today I tested wifi calling option in 6.2. Enabled hotspot on my phone and connected through wifi from 6.2. Selected option of default calling throgh wifi in wifi calling preferences. Started dialling. Voila it works flawlessly. Also tried disabling volte and dialled. Perfect.
Screenshots from nokia 6.2 settings
Will be released via OTA....
Any update on OTA guys.. for Vowifi..
Updates means it should be like this. But Nokia provides only just security updates.
They broke off with FIH so no camera updates
Android One and Google Pixels have a stupid way of presenting the update changelog - tell nothing. So, even when a new OTA will arrive with some fixes and improvements, it won't ever touch what they fixed. I really hate this implementation and takes me towards hating Android One as a whole.
It would be better to have 1 update in a quarter, but meaningful, with serious bug fixes, feature additions, improvement to existing featured etc. It's already pointless to ride the monthly security patch race which doesn't improve the expeirnce at all. Even enterprise requires one update in 90 days and they want to push end consumers with monthly updates just to give them a feeling of security. But are we secure? Bad apps can happily still take all our data, given the permission. So, being secure is mostly in user's hand.
Open your eyes, HMD.
Exactly. Quarterly but significant updates with proper information are preferable than just pushing a monthly sp when there are tons of bugs in the software which are affecting functionality.
