I went ahead and did a factory reset yesterday...did not fix the issue.

Hi @joginder singh,

Do you still have this problem? Have you tried disabling this app and removing all updates then reenabling and updating it? If not, then before you do this make sure that your backup is set up to back up your call history.

Same problem here.

Hope it will fix soon. Because it's not Google's bug. It's HMD or FIH.

Because same apk on my sister Asus Max Pro M2 is working fine.

It's a software bug and there are few more bugs currently appearing on devices. Unofficially few members got MR update to fix up all issues on android 10. It is expected to be available OTA for all users in april month only.

Yes , I already had uninstalled the update but not working on previous version. Then I updated again but not working.

This is just a software bug. This month we are expected to get MR update to fix up all issues. We all need to wait for it.

Install a third party application like Contact+ , and use it as contact managing app. It will solve the issue, these apps will sort out duplicates too

I have the same issue since the upgrade to android 10. Service desk asks to do several steps to reset app with no results. Its really anoying to have to use another app for something this basic. Any good free dialer/contact app?

Just to get this clear: The problem exists since december 2019 - now we are at end of May 2020. No updates, no information.

One motivation for Nokia 7.1 were the Android updates. This does not feel like a good idea at all any more.

If somebody from Nokia is reading this: Post a status or tell us how we can get this *** BASIC *** function back to work.

According to what I am informed, the search from the app: Phone and Messages has been exceeded, it is now possible to search for a contact from last names, lol

After only 6 months the search function works again. Ridiculous, ignorant... I'm **** off!!
