It has been quite some time since the WiFi Calling feature was launched by the two Major Telecom players, Airtel and Jio. It is a major leap from the time when we relied on telecom tower signal to connect to a crystal clear call and due to lack of network coverage we suffered from frequent call drops especially inside our homes where telecom tower network reception tends to grow weak. With WiFi calling, we can make calls from home using a broadband connection and the call connects over an internet connection using VoWiFi, which is a boon in disguise that helps us to make HD calls over the internet.
Nokia 7 plus houses a snapdragon 660 processor which supports WiFi calling and it can be activated through an OTA update. It does not take much effort for a developer to activate a feature that lies dormant. With WiFi calling activated, it would be easier to connect to a friend or a family member with fewer call drops indoors.
