This is just perfect.... Legacy of Nokia never fades...
Amazing device that is future ready, at an amazing price...😍

I think it is the first phone from Nokia that gives 60 fps recording, because it has action cam mode........
If yes, then rock on Nokia....Keep it up....This is what we need......

Looks great front punch hole to give better screen to body ratio but still a front nokia logo on chin on such premium device isn't good 😕

I wish this corona spread should stop asap and we would like to experice this awesome piece truly global 5G phone in hand very soon.
I'm already getting goosebumps for new features like Cinematic effects in video and action cam mode which I always wanted to have one.
@nokianchetan What's say, I must need to meet you over 8.3 whenever it comes to you first☺️🙈,
Best wishes to Nokia.
Stay safe, Stay connected.

I think this might be my next phone. I don't really need 5G yet in the states because it's not really available anywhere. But these cinematic effects are cool and I like the design.

I think because of corona spread the 5G network availability and implementation in most of parts of world will be delayed. And off course this new features on phone looks very promising to me also.

Just don't screw up this device like the Nokia 7 plus launched in 2018. By screw up, I meant the software. The looks were cool, the hardware was cool and android one experience is awesome. But bugs are ruining the N7P experience overall!

welcome Nokia 8.3🤗

Nice device overall but it's all depends on price in Asian markets.
599€ in Rupees convert to 48,000₹ and that price NO ONE will buy Nokia 8.3 5G as We will all know their are rumours that OnePlus will launch OnePlus 8 Lite at likely 35,000₹ so why should any one consider buying Nokia 8.3 5G ?

Well there. Is lot of difference between secured an safety

@HMDLaura .... [Edited by super-user for language]
U have launched Nokia 8.1 with overpriced tag of more than ₹10K and then released the Android 10 which is full of bugs. These update has ruined the performance and software of Nokia 8.1. Still that phone isn't recieved the maintaince update of android 10 from last 5 months. And those who didn't update their phones are stuck on Android 9 with November security patch. Neither you and your team are giving any response to the customers. Then how can anyone go for this phone....
And please everyone don't go for this phone with blindfolded eyes ...make sure to do analysis whether are able to maintain their previous phones or not.....because these are android one phones but they dont feel like one ....in terms of updates.

Anyone noticed Nokia is now having more power with battery capacity of 4500mAh on 8.3. That's huge. Nokia finally implementing the feedback from forum.

OnePlus 8 lite will be more cheaper . One plus 8 will come at around 40k

5g is a gimmick in india as of now, price is too high, one can buy better and definitely with less money.

Hi all,
I have to say I'm pretty excited about this new HMD phone, overall I'm impressed with the approach they're taking with the global future-proof 5G message and the focus on creative film-making vs photography.
However there are some specs I'm a bit disappointed with: 😟
- FHD screen, not QHD. I thought this 8.3 might bring some an increase in resolution to match the original 8 again
- LCD display again, I think, as I can find no mention of OLED anywhere.
- I think that there is no OIS, at least I can't find any mention of it. Obviously it depends on how good the EIS is, but I think it's a missed opportunity for the 8.3 considering that the 8 and the 8.1 had OIS and are great film-making phones.
- Wider again! (and thicker) than even the 8.1, so this could be a tricky phone to hold in one hand, especially if it has a case on it. 🐘
On to the good points:
- Nice launch video, a different feeling to recent HMD launch videos, more powerful.
- Lots of 5G bands, this is great news, but will it really be the first 5G phone with this range of bands which is available to buy? I fear that by summer other phones will be available, with this radio setup and may even be cheaper.
- OZO Audio! But, how many mics will it have and which features? I hope 4 mics and all the features!
- That 12MP 2.8um pixel ultra-wide angle camera, wow! Does that camera appear in any other phone so we can see what it's capable of now, instead of waiting till summer? HMD's promo page says that it will be good in low light as well, maybe due to the massive pixels, let's hope so! 🏂
- Macro camera, cool! I've never really thought about this, I've always found manual focus with the standard camera pretty good, but it will fun to play with this (if I get an 8.3). But, only 2MP, which is pretty low res, so will it somehow combine with the 64MP camera? 🌼🐜
- Camera modes - on the promo page as well as macro I can see sport mode, great, finally! I hope this is for photos as well as videos (which was announced at the launch as action cam mode, speaking of which...)
- Action cam mode! I can't wait to try this out. But will HMD sell a protective case with a fixed mounting system built in?
- I like that green is becoming a signature colour for HMD. It's a shame that Nokia blue isn't more popular, as I thought the gloss blue on the Nokia 8 was really nice and the blue for the 9PV as well. And what about an orange or copper version of that colour scheme - tropical sunset? to contrast with polar night? 🙏
- BIG battery! I suppose that's needed for 5G, which I was surprised to hear them boast about in the video as "all-day battery life", not 2 day anymore!
- It DOES have a 3.5mm headphone socket, amazing! 🎧
- AND FM Radio, woohoo! 👍
A few questions remaining:
- Obviously we don't exactly know the screen specs, if it's OLED
- Is there OIS?
- How many mics and which OZO Audio features?
- How much for the 8/128GB version?
- Is the dual SIM slot a hybrid SIM/uSD, or separate?
- Not much info on the front camera yet
- Why is the charging only 9V/2A and not QuickCharge? And what does this suggest about the rest of the USB capabilities?
Cheers 😃
