Obviously if nokia makes a 4.7' 720p with a far more optimal os and refined ui like the iOS 13 then costing that much would suffice it.
Obviously if nokia makes a 4.7' 720p with a far more optimal os and refined ui like the iOS 13 then costing that much would suffice it. Just think the basic difference between a 720p apple iOS based device with latest apple bionic chipset line and that of a stock android phone 720p with a chipset that isnt a flagship. We buy android phones because they cost less and get the job done(my take on things) and 8.3 costs abnormally more.
So, The Pre-order Price of the Nokia 8.3 5G dropped approximately €120 from it's original starting price.
From $649 (€599/₹49,483.50) to $512 (€473.68/₹39,121.91)
Very interesting, what do you all think?
Oh, I found it at Clove UK https://www.clove.co.uk/products/nokia-8-3-5g?variant=31562914299947
Anyone know if this will have wireless charging?
No wire less charging
Very interesting! Thanks for sharing that info. That's a big price drop! I wonder if that's a specially reduced pre-order price... 🤔
Ah, actually when I look at that page it says €570! Maybe the price you saw was wrong and they corrected it. You should have ordered it when you saw it! 😆
Stock not due until July, wow, that's 3 months away! 😲
Yeah, I've might've seen it wrong sorry about that. 😅
and it got me wondering why it's taking too long, even recently announced smartphones that are priced similarly like the Nokia 8.3 5G, are getting launched a week or two after it's initial launch.
they may be finalizing the software and it's camera processing for the phone since it has a "PureView camera system" it could be that, or maybe it's getting delayed due to the pandemic?
Unfortunately we won't know until it eventually releases, or yet, reviewers get ahold of this smartphone.
Well, we still have 2-3 months left until we actually get to see it from reviewers and see it actually get released to markets globally.
Welp, until then 😂
That's explained a lot
Powerful device,, any camera samples??
Not yet. Still A prototype
3 month delay while the competition trumps over their lousy strategy (or lack thereof).
It Just Keeps Getting Better™
Seriously though, if it's really launching in July, then what on earth is happening at HMD Global? Other companies have already released and/or sent to reviewers the phones they announced back in March.
Hi @SirFaceFone and @Rice.Guardian,
I can only assume that the delay is because HMD are the only ones using all parts of this new Qualcomm RF front-end module that HMD are "launch partners" for, or whatever the marketing goop called it. Maybe Qualcomm can't yet mass-produce this module, or maybe HMD are having difficulties getting the phone with all these 5G bands through certification... maybe it emits too much radiation? I did read that the limits are lower for 5G than 4G.
That's great 3
Slight curvature at the rear panel
Definitely the 3D Corning Gorilla Glass Raun Forsyth stated, hopefully Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
and I presume that the corner edges are slightly rounded?
they most likely used the 2.5D Glass type, however we don't know if they will use the same protection as the rear panel.
With the advent of Oneplus Z in July, I guess 8.3 will be dead on arrival.
We have to wait
Time will tell.
Good job Nokia,
FYI LAUNCHING NEW DEVICES WON'T SOLVE PROBLEMS OF OLD DEVICES.
Special attention to Nokia 6.1+ devices and its fourm, take a look there...
What will be the price in india. Good looking. Great features.
Believe me ... Going after one plus 8 will be way smarter option than going for this stupid product .... I think the only cons in that is ... No headphone jack ..
For those who want to see a very short hands on with N5.3 and the mysterious 8.3 5g:
@Thomas Flowerchild Great Find!
Frankly speaking, that's got to be one of the sleekest Nokia design I've ever seen.
Hi @madbilly do you think these were real phones? Or a dummy? You have really made it hard for me to decide 😆
Well I don't think I even saw that screengrab above so maybe I wasn't even looking at the right video! 😆
It is right at the beginning of the video. Doesn't appear anywhere in the video later.😅
The screenshot he shared is cropped.
