Well, i know that this is not new, releasing updates for some countries before some.
Hi HMG, i was hoping nigeria will be included on the first wave but i got disappointed. That kill my interest in nokia. I guess if i update to android 10 wil it in improved the battery power or make it worse? I hope u guz will release the update soon for nigeria.
I own Xiaomi Mi a2 lite also. I received the update for android 10 for this phone...... Now i say i'll rather wait for update for Nokia 4.2 until it is without bugs.
When I get Android 10 update on my phone Nokia 4.2 in Bangladesh?
I have a Nokia 4.2 and the update is available on my phone, but I'm nervous about updating it cause it might have bugs, and I'm extra dependent on my phone cause of the lockdown. Is this update bug free?? Please help
Have the bugs been resolved yet? I just want to make sure b4 I update my 4.2
Your choice, for me is not bad though there are little bugs here and there. But overall its ok
Ciao di quale paese sei?
Why my phone is not upgrade to Android 10? I am from Bangladesh
It looks like there are some problems with 1st Wave. I am in Austria (A1) still no upgrade to Android 10.
When will Nokia 4.2 users in Nigeria get android 10 update for God's sake? @HMDLaura Please do you have any idea?
With android 10 there is now a small dot on the left side of the notification bar. It seems to do nothing. What is it for?
If you want to avoid bugs after updating to Android 10, do a factory reset after updating.
Relax, you will get it within 30 days.
Hmm. Small bugs like what can you tell me?
We in Nigeria are really waiting..
Please include Nigeria in the second wave.
There are little problems with audio, at times volume control becomes uncontrollable except one restart
More than one week and still counting,no more Android 10 update for the remaining Nokia 4.2 users! Looks like they've taken over Nokia already as seen in the news. It's a pit
I finally got the update using VPN:
Follow this procedure courtesy of #nokiapowerusers.com
1) First install a VPN app from Google Play, like Proxy Master or Free VPN Master
2) Turn off the phone and remove the SIM card(s)
3) Turn on the phone, turn off the WI-FI, go to the apps & notifications and clear the cache and data of the following listed apps:
A. Google App
B. Google Framework
C. Google Play Services
D. Location Services
4) Restart the phone (Power off and on)
5) Turn on WI-FI and launch the VPN app, choosing as country where the update is available already
6) Go to update and verify. You may have to repeat this last operation several times if you are not lucky from the first.
This trick allows one to force the update to one’s smartphone and there have been no issues reported so far but considering regional variations in mind it is always advisable to wait for the OTA update meant for your own region.
Thank you for this. It has actually worked for me in the first trial.
And u too typing blahblah blah and abracadabera ,in the community before knowing the procedure for the roll out of the update to the countries 😏
Why must they give update to some and leave others to go through the hassle of using VPN to update theirs? Till today, there's no update for these people, is it fair?
U need to understand that most of countries carrier network has to give approval for the release of update through their network for the particular models availabe in the particular countries . If we assume in a case that hmd keep on waiting for all the network carriers of all countries to approve then some the peoples in community will start to question frequently the same when will the update . It is common that all the smartphone manufactures follow this method that they will release the update for an accumulated countries which were readily approved.
And finally the ongoing situation is not favourable .and it will be restored soon and will return back to normal .
Not an offence just to clarify and to make realize u :)
What is your model number??
I live in Austria, but I never got an update... :-(
I neither have "Google Framework" nor "Location services" in my list.
