I'm waiting for the Wave 2 distribution but honestly I'm kinda tired of waiting for an already overdue update...
Initially, It's supposed to be released in late Q1, but it gets delayed into early or middle Q2 due to Covid-19, I think this is understandable considering the situation, it's not like they could've prevented the pandemic, they've suffered hardtime as much as we are/were, just purely unfortunate.
But when I saw the previous cases, it seems like the Wave 2 starts from June 3rd or around that, which is already late Q2.
For example, Wave 1 for 6.2 started by April 28th and Wave 2 started by May 14th, for 8 Sirocco Wave 1 started by April 15th and Wave 2 started by April 28th.
Similar goes for 3.2 and 4.2, Wave 1 for 3.2 started by April 7th and Wave 1 for 4.2 started 2 days later, and Wave 2 for both devices started by April 21st.
Above is not an exhaustive list, but still you can clearly tell it that the distribution date of Wave 2 is highly likely to be around after 2 weeks/14 days since the first day of Wave 1.
Again, I don't think it's fair to accuse them of initial delay(from late Q1 to early Q2 due to Covid-19), but the second delay(from early Q2 to late Q2), which is likely to happen, is really disappointment.
That said, just because there are people like me who can't get update soon shouldn't drag down those who can. Instead, I hope the interval between Q1 and Q2 to be shorten more and spent more effort onto this area.
I think the software update will be the same for wave 1 and wave 2 and I don't think the different variants of the 5.1+ have different software according to these pages:
Yes everyone is anxious to get the update. It is absolutely better to wait a little longer for final bug fixes then just rush the version out bc it was delayed due to covid 19. The phone on Android pie works very well, so better to be a little patient and get most bugs before releasing to the masses
Update to Android 10 brings battery related issue which increased carging time as well as reduced battery backup ...other than that, update is perfectly working best...i am also indian user....NOKIA pls check & give solution to it in next security update of the phone...
To be honest I'm not all that psyched about this update because I've seen A10 threads for other Nokia devices and people want a downgrade and I'm not sure Nokia would be able to handle all these bugs because more phones are being released and they would have a lot on their plate. My opinion though
Aquí en Perú los parches de seguridad llegan todos los meses, yo tengo el de abril 2020 y supongo que la actualizacion a android 10 llegará con el parche de mayo que aún no lo he recibido y es extraño estando en estás fechas

A shame no Africa country is listed in either wave 1 or 2 but we already started receiving the update since the early morning of yesterday. @HMDLaura is there a published article where countries in Africa aren't eligible to be listed for software updates?

Sorry for my long rant.
Hi @Aftermath,
What you wrote didn't seem like a rant, it seemed fine to me 😃
The waves are normally two weeks apart, as it says in the FAQ:

Cheers 🙂

I want face unlock on Nokia 5.1 plus
Android 10 Ta-1105 romania ? What the f... Hmd?
😂 Calm your horses mate
Highly unlikely that face unlock would be added to this phone. Since it did not launch with a biometric face unlock to begin with.
Wait y'all saying face unlock disappeared right after the update? 😂 I don't use that feature tbh so I wouldn't bother myself seeing it return or not.
Google removed trusted face which was not really biometric face unlock. It was not secure
lo que desapareció es el acceso a todo lo de la batería, pulsando el ícono de la batería se podía ver todo, Ahora hay que ir a menú normal.... :(
