There is no need for a physical button for "Google Assistant".
We can already activate Google Assistant by either Gesture or through a simple Voice Command !
Also request - For the Nokia 7.3 , Please have a faster processor (latest) ( Snapdragon 690 5G ??)
Also can you bring 90 Hz screen refresh rate for models Nokia 7.3 and above ? Face Unlock ?

I fully agree. I have finally decided to put my Lumia 1520 into retirement. I have a 7.2 in my shopping cart for over 2 months now and silly as it may seem, its that seemingly ridiculous google assistant button that has me on a perpetual hold out. Yes that 1 silly feature makes me not want to buy the phone.
Its a feature I will never use, so I see no point in a button for it, nor would I want to have to get an app just to do something else with it.
I am going to miss the simplicity of windows phone or maybe I just wont retire my 1520 afterall.
Wouldn't be surprised if the only reason they're adding it is because they get... monetary benefits from Google. Makes sense as HMD is basically just whoring out the Nokia brand at this point until there's no value in the brand left.
Nokia 7.3 will be coming with a SD690 5G chip and will also have a higher refresh rate screen.
About the assistant button, I agree. It is useless but I see hmd pushing useless buttons but has no interest in making a dedicated camera button or music keys or a remappable button.
I'm up for a remapable one too. But I'm against anything dedicated for camera and music too 😁
BTW, the more faster refresh, the more strain on the CPU and the battery backup goes down too. Have others brought higher refreshes with a 600 series CPU yet?
Camera button can be very handy and that can be made remapable. Dual stage shutter button is very useful and maybe if remapping is possible it can be made to do two things.
Yeah, I wish I could remap it to something else on the 5.3 and 7.2. Then at least it would be useful.
Well, if you're not a fan of GA, in that case you can switch to a different assist app and then the button also launches that assist app. So, for me, the button launches my beloved Firefox browser 😅😁
It is not so much useless 🤔
Yes it is. Why would one need so many different ways to just launch the Google assistant?
Yeah! There are already some 5 simple ways to launch the Google assistant 😴
How do you do that? I can't find such option on 4.2.
