HMD announced the Nokia 8.3 5G back in March as the company’s first 5G phone. Since then, we’ve seen the phone go on pre-order in the UK but with little to no info on its actual release date an availability. Now, another retailer in Switzerland has joined in and revealed that the phone will go on sale in the country on September 15. Pricing is not specified however but the phone will be offered in the Polar Night color.
Clove UK still has the 8.3 5G listed for £499 with availability scheduled for this month though no exact date is specified. The phone is listed in a single 6/64GB trim and it remains to see if the 8/256GB variant will also be available. As usual, we'll be on the lookout for new developments regarding the launch of the Nokia 8.3 5G
Comments
At launch time they already told that 8.3 5G will be available in summer (Europe). No hopes for Indian region as Nokia 5.3 is still not available in India (expected to be available in Mid or End July 2020).
Since beginning Clove had messed up the arrival date. Few days ago they had a banner that said arriving in September while the product page said june. Later on the same day they update their banner to match the product page and the banner said Arriving July. Today, they have once again updated the banner and also the product listing and both say arriving in September. So, the phone is still two months away from hitting the market.
Ridiculous. Way too late. I only will buy a new Nokia if they release 6.3 and 7.3 in September, too. There will be many nice alternatives in autumn and 8.3 will be DOA.
Hi all,
And now Clove says October! Oh, the page has gone again...! 😆
Cheers 🙂
Yeah I don't know about pre order from Clove in case it gets delayed again. Nobody else including Amazon and Carphone Warehouse are offering it yet
Let's not even mention the new Pureview phone lol. They said in March it would be arriving in the fourth quarter of 2020. We really need some official word from Nokia of their 2020 plans
