Yet another thread for the same thing. Just because you're missing 1 security patch. Ah, mate, let them work and give them some time in the part of the year when we experience the holiday and festive season! Have fun ✌️ and stop worrying about the updates. Good or bad, hmd still will do its job of delivering the updates.
Nokia isn't releasing updates for Nokia 8.1 indian units and some blind eye supporters still supporting them . Nokia promised us regular monthly updates. I accepted there should be delay but other countries receiving updates. These blind eye supporters making our issue weak.
Nobody is blind here. Nokia gave you 4G+ (carrier aggregation) in the Sept update, which wasn't given to other countries (either not at all or they already had it). That resulted in a change of codebase and hence the build number for Indian units is different than what it is for global units.
The change means the update for India has to be cooked separately now instead of what is made for all of the other regions. And that's a fair reason for some delay. Not that a missed patch is already making your device hack-able or unable to function properly.
And one-two missed updates in over 2 years of device's release isn't breaking the promise of "regular"updates at all. You have still received regular updates and you'll continue to get so. Relax and wait. You'll soon get Android 11 and that's something to eye for instead of a namesake security patch. They have already started testing the builds on Android 11, which means the release won't be too far away 🙂
Haha ha supporters came and flag the post and 2 years haven't completed yet. December 2018 was the launch date and Android one device came with 3 years of monthly security updates.blind eye supporters
I haven't said anything about how long the support was promised (it is obviously for 3 years). I've only said that one-two missed patches (due to any kind of reason, even technical) in over (over is an approximation term and not an absolute value) 2 years isn't even a big deal unless you uselessly want to make something out of it.
@singhnsk The main thing about the update is not about security patches. Users don't want to stuck on one specific build. I am sure this will not happen with Nokia 8.1. I have experienced this thing in past when My Nokia 6.1 stuck on one build and didn't get any OTA update at that time I have to go service center for reinstall software then I got the update.
🤞 for next & last android os upgrade(Android 11) of Nokia 8.1🙂.

Nothing is wrong, it is all within the allotted time frame.
