Android 10 update. Instructions on how to make phone usable again.
The Android 10 update turned my phone into a brick. I couldnt even take a call without the thing coming to a halt. There were various things suggested. 1.

The Android 10 update turned my phone into a brick. I couldnt even take a call without the thing coming to a halt.
There were various things suggested.
1. Resetting App preference.
2. Device Format.
3. Setting number of active processes.
The first and the third made no difference whike the second made some.improvement.
Then I did what @ft201 said in this thread
and my phone is usable again. There is zero lag and it is better than how it was on pie.
Give it a try. For me it has singlehandedly saved this phone.

Alright Guys I'll tell you how I got my phone back to a useable state.
First - Disable all unwanted apps!!!!
The Phone comes with a list of Google Apps. Disable the ones that you don't need.
Second - Use ADB to disable ALL Evenwell apps! **Absolutely Critical**

Third - Replace Photos, and Messages, and Launcher and some other apps.
The phone hangs due to lack or ram. I'll give you some replacements that you should use.
Photos - Google photos is constantly using 40-50 mb's of ram. Thus disable it and use Lineage OS Gallery app from here https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/lineageos/gallery/gallery-1-1-40030-release/
Messages - Google Messages takes up a TON of ram, and the phone lags everytime you recieve a message Thus, use Lineage OS message app from here https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/lineageos/messaging-2/messaging-2-1-0-001-release/
Google Keyboard - Use any aosp keyoard port. I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=rkr.simplekeyboard.inputmethod&hl=en&gl=US
Google Files - Too slow bloated and unusable. I use Zarchiver for maximum efficiency https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.zdevs.zarchiver&hl=en&gl=US
For the Launcher use a pixel Launcher that is light. DO NOT USE NOVA OR EVIE THEY ARE RESOURCE HEAVY. I use this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=amirz.rootless.nexuslauncher&hl=en_US&gl=US
**After you install the replacements make sure you disable the original apps. It is CRITICAL to disable Google photos, messages and Keyboard. Otherwise your phone WONT STOP HANGING.**
