Hi @nilesh520, are the boAt earphones completely compatible with Nokia phones (as in mic & call/music/volume controls too)? And may I know which ones you've been using?
Thanks for your response. I've seen a lot of complaints with boAt products, that's why I'm reluctant to buy from them. I own a 6.1 Plus & I got WH-108 in box with it. Did you get the same ones with your 8.1 or a different pair?
Thank you so much for your input @singhnsk. I appreciate you sharing your experience with us.
And @nilesh520, someone in an Amazon product review mentioned Realme Buds 2 being similar to the earphones that come with Nokia 8.1 in terms of sound quality so I thought I should let you know in case you're interested.
I've bought these and are on the way. The sound is gonna be lesser than what my OnePlus Buds Z produce, but they aren't TWS. Let's see how these perform.
I've used a number of different Soundcore Bluetooth headphones with my 8.1 and they are all great, why anyone would want a cord now, especially if you are doing an activity is beyond me.
That's a very interesting & valid point of view. But the thing is, I don't even use my phone if I'm doing an activity. I just need a good pair of earphones for listening music or guided meditations while I relax lounging. I'd opt for the bluetooth ones myself if I weren't looking for something that won't
1). drain my phone battery,
2). won't give me issues with sound quality (& we all know Nokia's 2018 lineup of phones have a major bug with LDAC thanks to their old vendor image with Android 10 🙄),
3). be a bit more on the expensive side.
Different people, different needs. Ever think of that? 🙂
I did think of that yes and to be honest i stand by what i said, why anyone wants a cord dangling down and getting in the way is beyond me, once you have got used to it is quite liberating to be honest.
FWIW Bluetooth earphones wont drain your battery because they use BLE, i never turn Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi or anything off, the days of needing to do that to save a bit of battery are long gone and the earphone themselves are self powered (obviously).
I bought my nephew some Aukey bletooth headphones for Christmas, he seems delighted with them and they were only £18 so not breaking the bank.
No one said they *want* a cord dangling down, we just don't *mind* it. And it won't really be getting in the way considering my use.
And, good for you if the aforementioned issues don't affect you at all. Here, I'll have to spend atleast a good ₹2K if I want bluetooth ones when I can just get a good quality wired pair around ₹500 & be totally satisfied with it.
Again i am entitled to an opinion as are you but just because we don't agree with each other it doesn't make either of us wrong (or right), it is just our own opinion based on our own experiences. I agree it is very much each to their own but you seem to be getting very uppity about it and taking it as some kind of personal attack for some reason.
My favourite old pair of wired ear buds are my trusty old klipsch image S3 which are now 10 years old and still going strong, they cost £50 (₹5,133) when i got them, not an earth shattering amount but no 10 quid (₹1,026) own brand crappers either.
My favourite Bluetooth ear buds at the minute are the Soundcore Liberty 2 which retail at between £60 and £85 (₹6,158 and ₹8,725) depending on which way the wind is blowing on Amazon on the day you look at them and the klipsch image S3 just cannot come close.
I gotta admit I'd a good laugh reading this all 😂 Trust me man, I never took any of your statements as a personal attack & neither do I've a reason to so I'd appreciate it if you'd just stop jumping to conclusions.
I onIy tried to explain why I'm content with what I'm content with in blunt words because you'd a hard time grasping the concept of personal preferences & budget.
Now I'm gunna disengage from this discussion with you here because it's clear you're here to lowkey troll. Have a good day ahead.

I even went to the trouble of using your own counties currency for clarification as i furthered the post, i wasn't trying to sell you anything and i wasn't trying to force you in to anything. I was just offering my own expirence (something you have a hard time grasping), you know as you do on a discussion forum but heigh-ho if you think I'm trolling that is (yet again) your own personal opinion.

Yes that is completely compatible. Currently using boAt bassheads 220. But not good as original Nokia 8.1 wired earphones.

I have owned a wireless pair from them. And similarly priced OnePlus did a better job. Kinda not so convinced to give another try to boat.
But yeah not all products from a company can be great.

No. That was basic earphones. I got different one with Nokia 8.1.
You may go with this if you interested in Nokia earbuds lite.

I may be try this Nokia Earbuds Lite in future.

I think it's not designed by Nokia or HMD Global, it is designed by someone who acquired license.
They have more TWS but not yet launched in India. You can see here

They have already more TWS. But not yet launched in India. Why HMD Global always late in India I don't know 😟

Those look like a fusion between Nokia's Active Wireless & Wired Earphones. I've never seen these ones before but they look neat.
Thanks for the suggestion but I'm looking for wired earphones that plug into a jack (I know I'm old fashioned 😅).

To each, their own. It's not that deep, mate.

What a bizarre answer a post that clearly says:
