Phone app issues w Android11

A call comes in and I get 3 options "Decline, Screen, and Answer"

Nothing happens if I select any of the options. I have to wait until the call goes to voicemail and then I have to call the person back.

Speaking of voicemail, when I first got my 8.3 I had visual voicemail in the phone app but then when A11 rolled out it disappeared. Nokia says it's a Google thing, Google says it's a Nokia thing.

Hi, can you check if the Google Phone app is updated to the latest version available in the Play Store?

If it is, then kindly try deleting the data of the phone app. Hopefully that will help in eradicating the problem.
