Can we have Cinema mode in Nokia 9 Pureview?

Focus and exposure keeps jumping around as of now in video recording. It would've been great if we could lock focus and exposure while recording videos. We can't make use of OZO audio in third party apps.

Sorry but I don't think there would even be a cinema mode coming.

  • You could try setting manually the iso and shutter speed to avoid the auto mode from changing it. Cinema mode only difference is the support for 21:9 aspect ratio that is native to the device, h-log, and post processing with built-in filters. This is based on the 8.3 that I have.

But there's no manual model in camera app (*for video)for Nokia 9. For that I need to use open camera or buy filmic pro.

  • If you have ever had a problem with the Automatic Rotation of the screen on your Smartphone or if you do not know how to Switch On Rotation to watch movies in a more comfortable way, it's great that you are here because I will just show you how to Enable it. Let's go!

  • It sounds like you're experiencing difficulties with focus and exposure fluctuations during video recording, along with limitations in utilizing OZO audio in third-party apps. Having the ability to lock focus and exposure while recording videos would indeed be beneficial for maintaining consistent video quality. Unfortunately, some third-party apps might not support the full features of your device's hardware, such as OZO audio. You might consider using the native camera app provided by your device manufacturer, as it's more likely to offer comprehensive functionality, including focus and exposure locking, as well as optimized integration with features like OZO audio.

  • I completely understand your frustration with the focus and exposure issues during video recording on the Nokia 9 PureView. It's true that having a Cinema mode with the ability to lock focus and exposure would greatly enhance the quality of video recordings. Additionally, the inability to utilize OZO audio in third-party apps is a limitation that many users, including myself, would love to see addressed. Nokia has a history of listening to user feedback, and I urge them to consider implementing these features in future updates to enhance the overall video recording experience.

  • I get that you're upset about the video recording on the Nokia 9 PureView. Having a Cinema mode with locked focus and exposure would make the videos much better. Also, not being able to use OZO audio in other apps is a problem. I'm sure lots of users, like me, would be really happy if Nokia could fix these things in future updates. Nokia usually listens to users, so I hope they'll think about adding these features to make video recording even better!

The focus and exposure in a video recording currently move about. If we had been able to lock focus and exposure when taking movies, that would have been fantastic. OZO audio cannot be used in apps developed by third parties.

  • There is no official confirmation from Nokia whether they will implement it or not. However, Nokia has promised to improve the camera performance of the Nokia 9 PureView with future updates, such as adding a Night mode.
