The most drawback of 8.3 is the R. google assistant button which is so easy to start up thus disturbing and disgusting ! I really request to abandon it from the upcoming flagship or I will consider a change !

Hi, there is a settings option that you can use to disable the functioning of the Google Assistant button. So, pressing the button then will do nothing. You can make use of the option and have peace of mind.

When the Google Assistant is off and the invoking button is pressed, a popup window at the bottom of the screen pops up saying "Your Google Assistant is ready to help you get things done" with a TURN ON button.

To cancel that, one must tap anywhere else on the screen.

The irritating issue is that if the invoking button is hit three times, one must tap the screen three times! Imagine now that the phone is in a bag, the phone is locked and the invoking button is accidentally hit five times. When the phone is unlocked, the popup is there and one must hit continuously the screen to make that popup go away!
