That's not true. OneUI gets monthly security patches and the devs also fix bugs, improve performance and so on. And every update also comes with a detailed change log. HMD never publishes such.

App updates form Play Store have nothing to do with optimising the OS itself, and the latter is what I get with my new phone.

Oh, and if by security patch you mean Android 13 beta on the X20, I have that one too and it runs like garbage. And I know that it's beta so I shouldn't complain, and I really don't do that, but please be factual, because the X20, on Android 12, didn't get any update for months. Or, if you refer to the Play Services update, that's not from HMD.

This company didn't do anything to fix their previous mistakes. Instead, they continue the "tradition". How come that other companies manage to run a beta program and provide monthly updates for stable users at the same time? Even volunteers that maintain custom ROMs in their spare time can do it. At that point there really is no excuse.

What makes things worse is they know security updates well before they are published to give them time to test. I think half the issue is having distant devices on different builds.

Do you think the monthly security patch has been neglected in favour of the upcoming Android 13 release? Even though (or nevertheless) Nokia X20 is not compliant to HMD's monthly commitment towards the security patch releases.

Or inflation has been extending the monthly patch to ****-monthly or now even longer 🤣

Personally as mentioned before a definite non compliance issue here as not on the basis of what end users were sold at point of sale.

Without appearing negative a stable consumer release of A13 would be great for us all however my understanding (hopefully wrong) is that there are still bugs to be rectified and release would not be imminent. In addition the bugs on A12 have not been addressed for the majority of users due to the lack of firmware updates since release last year (still on stock v.350)

I think if we just had some simple communication from them as to what is going on behind closed doors would put many minds at rest.

I don't know for which region but there is a build update released for Nokia X20 yesterday. But till now I didn't receive this in UAE.

Nothing arrived on my or my wife's phones yet. Checked yesterday in Germany and today, some minutes ago, from Sweden. Tomorrow I'll be in Finland... next try...

Nokia phones are no more reliable when it comes to specs and regular updates other than the brand name they have nothing, absolutely zero value.

for a moment I had a peak in my heartbeat, I said to myself "come on! new version, new updates, cheers!"

then I did "check for updates" (Italy) and got my feet back on the ground 😑

Agree. Yet no enhancement noticed by me. The main menu GUI bug has not been addressed.

Battery icon looks different though.

In the battery menu now I've again the list of the app that are using the battery power (list disappeared many months ago)

Hi all I was wondering if anybody has developed screen blank on their device since the latest firmware update (v2.560)

Twice now my screen has blacked out and no response to restore (once when plugging into charger and the other after unlocking) noting my phone was still connected to my pc via WiFi and responding on both occasions just phone screen blank.

Both occasions luckily were overcome (although panicked first time) by holding the power button untill the Nokia screen comes on after restarting where everything returns to normal.

Software update v2.580 just made available plus July security update 56mb so guessing some very small tweaks (this is in UK)
