Fingerprint Option Missing or Fingerprint Scanner not Working

I have been facing Fingerprint issue since Morning. My Fingerprint Sensor didn't work (no vibration, no sensing). There is missing Fingerprint Option under Security Settings. Went through all the solutions given by the users but not working.

Model: Nokia 7 Plus (Since June 2018)

Android Version: Android 10

Last Security Update: 1 March 2021

    🙄 That is weird. Are there any apps installed that disables fingerprint authentication? Try clearing all credentials from Encryption and Credentials inside Security settings and reboot. No idea if that will help.

    Hi all, I have the Nokia X20 and for the past 4 weeks' my fingerprint scanner doesn't work either. I don't even have the option of Fingerprint within the security device section? I have factory reset my phone and still no Fingerprint option on phone? If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them. Thanks.

    Same here on Nokia 5.3. Almost 3 weeks ago, when I had more than 50% battery, the phone shutdown by itself, kept getting to the Nokia screen then restarting itself like 4 times or so and then eventually reached the lock screen. But then when I tried to unlock using the fingerprint, I found out the fingerprint sensor was gone. No vibration, no feedback and no settings for it in the security settings, it was just gone.

    That was very weird. Does anyone have an explanation or a fix ?

    Hi all,

    I have the same problem with 6.2. I've already reinstalled the factory definitions and did't resolve the problem. Is there any solution for this problem?

     Place your finger on a fingerprint scanner and reboot your Nokia 3.2, keep your finger on the scanner until you get to unlock the screen. Unlock your screen with Pin/ Password and your fingerprint is back again. Ps: You will need to repeat this step every time you reboot/start your device or your fingerprint is buggy.
