phone goes unresponsive when screen turns off

Hello.

I bought my x10 phone a month or so. Problem starten about a week after purchase. The problem is sometimes the phone goes unresponsive after I turn the screen of. Have to start it by holding the volume Up and power Button.some days phone works fine other days the problem is there.
