Nokia 2.2 can't change ringtone

My Nokia 2.2 ignores ringtone changes. Although the new ringtone is shown in the settings, the ringtone is ignored when someone calls. Instead it uses the old Nokia Tune. It doesn't matter whether the new ringtone is a Nokia ringtone (e.g. Nokia Barbell or Nokia Stones) or an mp3 downloaded from the internet, the phone won't use the new ringtone.

Only ringtones set for a specific contact aren't ignored.

Setting an mp3 audio file as ringtone directly from file manager appears to work. Interestingly, this does not update the ringtone shown in sound settings.

maybe backup and do factory reset. android in general tend to behave oddly after OS upgrade

I think you should restart your Nokia 2.2 phone, then go to https://klingeltonebb.com/nokia and download a new ringtone. After the download is complete, go to settings and change the ringtone. Good luck.
