The quality of wallpapers (including the on-device wallpapers) seems very low when set as home page wallpaper on Nokia 5.4.

The quality of wallpapers (including the on-device wallpapers) seems very low when set as home page wallpaper on Nokia 5.4.
To understand what I mean, see the attached screenshots of the home screen and the actual quality of the wallpaper.
It is unfortunate that despite reports from users, this issue has not been fixed yet. This issue really needs to be fixed in Android 12.

I also notice this. It is also slightly zoomed in after you set it as your wallpaper. But it serves one purpose: zoom out during animation when you switch between apps or windows or wipe down the notification pane.
Yes, I noticed that too. But why does it lose quality? I use high-resolution wallpapers.
comparing the original image with the screenshot of the home screen, proves that the phone has a big problem in processing the wallpapers.
Hello, by the way you can chose 4k wallpaper to change your wallpaper i set wallpaper in any size more than 15mb its work like a charm. Example download free image wallpaper at 4k ressolution, or change to solid color wallpaper alternative.
