Nokia X30 5G camera samples

I've been using the X30 for almost a week, so thought I'd share some images to give a sense of the camera capabilities.

All images taken in auto-mode with auto-HDR enabled. I just received a new Android 12 build and September update which changed the camera version, so these images were taken with the previous version.

Here are some night mode samples, all taken handheld with some ambient light so the 'Dark Vision' or Tripod modes were not enabled. I'm impressed with how the camera handles noise in low-light.

There are still so few reviews of the X30, I guess all the usual tech sites and reviewers are busy with the Pixel 7 launch?

Is there an option to buy it from India?

I really love this phone and it's not yet launched in India, currently I'm on Nokia 8.1 and only phone which can replace that is Nokia X30 5G.

Does anyone know why Nokia only provides three years of security updates? It's being sold in Europe for 500 Euros. The support should last longer than three years. I deliberalty only relate to security patches. This is disappointing. It should be at least four years of security patches (e.g. every second month).

The phone was £449 (GBP) with a clear case for the 8GB RAM / 256GB storage option. For comparison, the Pixel 7 with the same configuration is £699, the Galaxy A53 with 128GB is £399, and the Nothing Phone (1) is the same price for 8/256 GB.

The X30 may not be released in India, and there are no doubt a number of reasons why: fierce competition from Chinese subsidiary brands who can undercut on price to specs ratio, HMD Nokia do not have the sales volumes to offer a lower price, and they are targeting the budget market segment, certification and tariffs from the Indian government and operators etc.

Is there any way I can get it delivered in Mumbai, India?

There are not much options from Nokia released in India. And being a loyal Nokia user, I really love X30 5G.

I'm looking forward to buy it, if any options available or need to figure out another way.

I would have a few questions regarding the camera interface & software.

Is there a Manual or a Pro mode?

Is it possible to shoot in raw?

And can you make use of the full 50 megapixels? Supposedly the 50mp camera from Pixel 7 can only deliver 12mp pictures in the end (not 100% sure if true).

There is a Pro Mode where you can adjust the usual exposure, shutter speed (1/4000 - 20s), ISO (100-12800), focus and white balance. This is also where you shoot in RAW, which captures a 12.5MP DNG and JPEG file simultaneously.

50MP mode is only available in JPEG and auto, but it does save files at 50.1MP or 8160 x 6144.

The X30 has been available for a while now, including in new markets, but I haven't seen many photos from users. Personally I am not happy with the auto-mode in daylight as the HDR is far too aggressive and the images lack shadows and contrast, but shooting RAW and postprocessing shows the X30 does have a capable camera.
