I sometimes get an error message stating "Download failed APP_STORE_VERSION_RO..."

    Thank you David.

    Wifi is good, signal is good, resets okay, factory reset is a step too far.

    The 8110 doesn't seem to give me an option to clear the apps data or to download any apps, the only apps that it identifies in the permissions are assistant (geolocation set to deny), camera (geolocation set to deny), and maps (geolocation and microphone set to deny). Application data shows 89Mb used out of 2.2Gb. KaiOS account not signed in (I only use it for calls and text messaging). Maybe that's it.
