Android 12/13 charging issue

I understand that you're facing a charging issue with your G21 device after updating to Android 12 and even after the subsequent Android 13 update. It can be quite frustrating when your device doesn't charge properly. Let's explore some possible solutions:
1. Check the charging port: Inspect the charging port on your device for any debris or dust accumulation. Sometimes, these particles can prevent proper charging. If you notice any obstructions, gently clean the charging port using a soft brush or compressed air.
2. Try a different power source: Apart from trying a different charger and cable, also attempt charging your device using a different power outlet or USB port. This will help identify if the issue is specific to the power source.
3. Safe mode: Restart your device in safe mode to check if any third-party apps are causing conflicts with the charging process. In safe mode, only pre-installed system apps will be active. If your device charges without any problems in safe mode, it indicates that a third-party app may be causing the issue. Uninstall recently installed apps one by one until the problem is resolved.
4. Clear cache partition: Clearing the cache partition can help resolve various software-related issues. To do this, follow these steps:
- Turn off your device.
- Press and hold the volume up button and the power button simultaneously until the device vibrates and the bootloader screen appears.
- Use the volume buttons to navigate to the "Recovery" option and press the power button to select it.
- When the Android robot with an exclamation mark appears, press and hold the power button, then press the volume up button once. This will display the recovery menu.
- Use the volume buttons to navigate to the "Wipe cache partition" option, and select it using the power button.
- Once the process is complete, reboot your device and check if the charging issue persists.
5. Factory reset: If none of the above solutions work, you may need to consider performing a factory reset. Remember to backup your important data before proceeding, as a factory reset will erase all data on your device. To perform a factory reset, go to your device settings, find the "System" or "General Management" option, and look for "Reset" or "Factory Reset."
If the problem persists even after trying these steps, it's recommended to contact the customer support of your device manufacturer or bring your device to an authorized service center. They will have specialized knowledge and tools to diagnose and address the charging issue.
I hope these suggestions help resolve the charging problem with your G21 device. Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns!
Regards;
David Johnson.

Hi David..do you have steps to fix 4g+ issue. My phone is working only in outdated 4g mode resulting in slow mobile internet speed and call drops. Need to enable 4g+. Thanks

Hi David,
Thank you for you solutions provided.
My G21 also facing this kind of doesn't charge properly situation and I had tired steps above. But is the still same. It is not easy to get authorized service center for every Nokia user state (especially in Malaysia) .
Please provide the software update patch to resolve it.
Thank you.

Thanks, David. I have tried another charger. The phone charges after reboot, so it's not a USB socket problem either. I suspect that it is an app problem, but I did try closing all running apps. I just tried restarting while holding the volume up button, but the phone started normally without the recovery menu. (I also tried with the volume down button, but nothing happened at all.)
