Same happened to me.

I'm into a Bootloader loop after installing the Google Security Patch Update.

Nokia official service says the only solution is to send to the service paying the whole amount bcs is not under warranty.

Is a shame!

It seems to be an error in successfully installing the updates. I feel that rewriting the official firmware in fastboot mode should fix the problem.

But because the phone doesn't allow downgrade and we don't have the latest firmware, we will first need to unlock the bootloader as well.

If your phone is under warranty, then take help from Nokia Care. If it is not, then there may be other options possible at a lot lower cost.

With my phone it will not even power off. Holding the power button just causes it to reboot to the useless recovery screen. Looks like it is totally trashed thanks to this crappy update.

For the lost data and the hassle / effort of registering a new device with the 2FA apps (without being able to log in first), it doesn't do me any good either if Nokia has to pay.

I need a solution that I can use my device with the existing data as soon as possible again.

Same here. Installed May Android security patch today and after installation restart bricked my Nokia 8.3 5G. No bootloader and looping in fastboot menu. I don't have time to send this for repair it will take weeks.

We need some instructions how restore by using my Win11 PC. Now!

They offer 3 years of Security update and state on their website "Users are reminded that all Maintenance and Security Patch releases should be accepted as soon as possible to help ensure a smooth Android experience."

But when it breaks the phone we have to pay to get it fixed. This makes no sense and Nokia will lose many loyal customers over this.

Exactly this! We can't be just left out here like this. I am willing to send my phone for repairs and pay the d**n bill if they guarantee that they're able to recover my files, but otherwise... "Oops we just destroyed thousands of our users phones, oopsie doopsie, np we'll factory reset it for you and charge you 100€."

Comon there must be a way to unlock bootloader and finish the update / rollback update without data loss??

It's possible to enter Recovery mode, sideload older version of OTA and unlock the bootloader will fix.

My phone is too LOCKED.

Taking to a care center is the only option customer care gives. This is ridiculous from Google and Nokia. Going to lose all the data.

It's now time to move away from NOKIA after a decade of use.
