computer will not recognize nokia 3310 3g

My computer won't recognize my nokia 3310 3g when i plug the phone into my computer, thus can't put music on my phone without manually removing the micro SD card and inserting into my computer. Not the end of the world (the phone still charges) but annoying. . Here is what I have tried with no success:

-Multiple USB cables, all the cables I have used I have confirmed transfer data (not just charge).

-Different computers. I have tried 3 separate computers, none recognized my 3310.

-Multiple SD cards in my 3310.

-Having the 3310 be both on and off when I plug into my computer.

Anybody have any other  tips of something that I am missing?

Cheers.

To transfer files from your computer, you need to connect your Android phone to a media device (MTP). Have you tried changing the USB computer connection settings?

    1. Open Settings on your Android device and go to Storage.
    2. Select the USB computer connection by clicking the More icon in the upper right corner.
    3. Select Media Device (MTP) from the list of options.
    4. Connect your Android device to your computer and it should be identifiable.

In some cases, you may need to connect your Android phone to your computer and switch between different connection options several times before your computer recognizes the Android device as a media device. If your computer won't recognize phone after using this method, you can also install the MTP USB device driver.
