Hi @HMD_Laura @wyk A Sales company is unfortunately not capable of giving us any ROM or firmware files of the phones at all,The only thing they could do especially the company of HMD is putting up a page where the firmware files could be downloaded from within this i mean firmware files registered on the IMEI numbers of the phones This would be much appreciated by many sales points across the globe where companies would be helped out with, not only the customers who bought a phone and got screwed by some malfunctions like my first 2 Nokia 1 devices Bluetooth didn't worked refused to start up etc so no WLAN connection etc so not funny to deal with Than the ADB only recognizable over audio when you connect it with MTK backup tools, KInda messy stuff alright, but we've got to deal with these issues.So My opinion is that HMD should be demanding the developers to put the firmware files by IMEI number on a webpage from HMD to assist their customers and sales points where some sales points do the work after all when a phone got stuck in a loop or whatsoever. And if people can fix it themselves so why not being able to get in possesion of their phones firmware. I feel this more like an obligation of HMD as well to provide the firmware files publicly on a webpage under their guaranty of after sale when some phones don't work properly.SincerelyDesHMD_Laura said:
Hi @wyk @todesurteil explained it like it is. This is not a technical support forum (that's why we have dedicated support channels). It is a platform for users to communicate and exchange experience with each other. If you read the instructions most of the HMD people here have given you will see that we are mostly from the Marketing/Communication departments, thus we don't have much to do with the development of our phones. Of course we follow up the issues people reporting in here, forward them to our devs and try to figure out what is going on but giving technical support is just not the meaning of this forum. Hello, I've had my Nokia 5 for a while now, about 6 months. I must say I'm disappointed at how slow it gets at times when I attempt to open the apps. It even hangs completely at times and the apps stop responding/ working, prompting me to close them.I have attempted freeing up quite a bit of phone memory, and getting the phone security/ software updates regularly, but still no improvement. I've heard similar complaints from some other friends using the Nokia 5 and 6. What I gather from the complaints is that it's probably an issue with the Snapdragon.Initially, before the andrian Nokia phones, I have used other smartphones that never hung, or were never slow, despite having lower or similar specifications to my current Nokia 5, and containing just about the same apps and size of items in the phone memory. Kindly look into this as you continue developing smart phones in the future. I have always believed in Nokia phones to be the best and wouldn't want to deviate from that.Plus: the camera is really good, I like it, and the battery + fast charging charger.
