3310 3G Firmware Update

I am a fan of this phone.  It has a lot of potential for people that enjoy the feel and functionality of a real phone with buttons.  That being said, it is in real need of a firmware update.  There are bugs in the software that need to be addressed.  Please take the time to keep this phone alive for the people that enjoy it.

Hi, thanks for your thoughts, we’re always innovating and developing based on feedback from customers.
  • It should support at least whatsapp , twitter , facebook with 4G connection. In addition to Nokia 5.1 , I still use an old NOKIA phone because that phone gives the best battery life and has a SIM which is purely private
  • This phone was released with bugs, and there should be a basic software update to correct the bugs. Thank you.
  • Very disappointing it is impossible to update firmware.

Battery performance is poor compared to my previous phone (Nokia 108).
Also feels less responsive compared to 108.
    Only three wallpapers factory installed.
Same boring ringtones as the 108.
No good grip - sides should be a little concave instead of convex.
    No buy recommendation from me.

Hello, I have just purchased a Nokia 3310 3G to use as a second phone. I previously had a simple reliable Nokia 105 but it broke so this is to replace it.

On the Nokia 3310 3G, I cannot find the options to:

    1) Assign shortcut commands to the D-pad
    2) Set Profiles (profiles are missing)
    3) No "Go To" option

These were features I used a lot on my second phone so I need them to work. I've seen videos online with it working for people with a Nokia 3310 but I can't find the options on mine.

Thanks in advance for your help.

@miwidi Those options were on the 3310 (2017) 2G phone which ran on S30+
Sadly not available on the 3G version which is a different os.
  • Any body knows about updating the Nokia 3310 3g software.
The factory version has some errors.

While hoping I'm wrong about this, I don't expect to see any plans to update it on the air, like older S40 phone had, I imagine the hardware itself would need a very specific computer software to do that and by the way it wasn't always that easy even back in the old nokia days that depended a lot on updater sw versions, drivers, o.s., etc. Also an on-the-air-updater would probably need a specific chip maker feature together with a tested specific o.s. feature. All these feature phones have different combination of hw/sw so, I am expecting different sw only on newly released and sold phones or based also on the releasing country. I may be wrong but I think I remember seeing some youtube Nokia 130 reviews having a newer sw version that I've never seen even in newer model here in Europe.

Just to confirm that I've seen in the shops a latest black Nokia 130 released in my country in EU, had a new v.30.x sw version with 05/2019 (or similar) date that (as said above) added the file browser feature and removed some things like the message those "insert memory card" in the camera app when without it. I'd imagine this is something like a "latest" firmware update before introducing the Nokia 110 (all the 2017 Nokia 130 EU versions I have, was installed with a v10.x version without this feature).
