Thank you for sharing. It's nice to hear that our feedback is valued for the production of new products, but unfortunately it was clear from what the panel didn't say that they're not interested in our feedback on problems with existing products.
I'm sure that at least one person asked a question like "When will you fix bug x/y/z?", and those are the things we talk about most here in the Nokia phones community because that's what people come here for help on! Will we see an AMA video about that question, about fixing bugs? Or are HMD not brave enough to do that?
Glad to hear that Nokia values our feedbackn for production of new products. We noticed the notification led being implemented on new Nokia phonee line ups which was one of the most requested feature in the forum.
But, as @madbilly already explained we also want Nokia to focus on previous products and not just launch it and forget it. We certainly don't enjoy new bugs with every new updates on our devices.
We still lacks this thing from hmd. 1.Nokia Software Recovery Tool We all Nokia Fans waiting for this tool from last 2 years.I want to tell you hmd team that it's much important tool for flashing our devices at home without any problems. So much time we wanted to do flash but we have to go on service center for that which is not good eveytime. 2.Bootloader Unlock Most of Developers as well as user want this feature on Nokia Phones.
Every Android One User wants quick bugs fix or optimization for better performance which is not quickly maintained by hmd sometimes. They does but takes more time to fix those issues which is not good for serious problem.Sometimes they failed to solve some of issues in that case user didn't feel advantage of android one which we should have as compared to custom os.If we get option to report bugs and hmd team takes seriously consider and solve only that time we will get something good as we choose android one.I like android one but bugs in os which is not a good option. I know hmd doing very good job in android updates which i like most. Thank you.
Thanks For Sharing This Video , We Know That You Are Always Innovating & Developing on The Basis Of Fans Feedback . But as @madbilly said It's Right , You Have To Provide What You Announce Atleast , eg. faceunlock to Nokia 8 , You Almost Forgot The Nokia 8 I Think
Other Thing Is Delay Of Launching New Phones In India , It's Already 2 Months and 10 Days Late and Now One Plus 7 Pro Creating Hype in The Market , We As a Nokia Fan Feel Really Bad After Watching It
Hi @nitin kachare! thanks for bringing up these important points again, it's clear that many people want both of these and the software recovery tool is one of the most requested features on this forum.
Hi @nokianchetan! You're right that long delays in availability after announcing the phones is not good, people get tired of waiting and buy something else and competitors have time to respond and capture the market. As for the face unlock for Nokia 8, I never managed to find the video or post where HMD say they are working on this, can you give a reference?
I would be very pleased if HMD would shorten the wait for releasing updates in the regions or give me the opportunity to download OTA updates from the Nokia website. Then I would update my phone manually through recovery mode.

Hey, I found the tweet from official Nokia Mobile account about the face unlock being available on number of Nokia phones including the Nokia 8.
Personally I'm not that bothered about face unlockbut that doesn't mean that HMD should not stick to their promises. Maybe we need to start a series of topics highlighting these unfulfilled (or broken?) promises?

Thanks, yeah I think we should but I'm not so sure that we will get any attention on these topics but it will be a great fun nonetheless. 😂
I somehow missed this AMA. Apologies bumping it after such a time gap. So, they mention that it is a great place to collect feedback.
Dear @juho, I want somebody at HMD to come out and tell us more about the feedback collected. I am interested in knowing how the feedback is collected, processed, weighed and used. It is disheartening that a lot of valuable feedback is lost because it doesn't get enough attention. And even the hyperactive threads (like the one requesting bootloader unlock) are ignored entirely. I do not know if the other feedback about bugs, issues and everything else (like the severe lack in after-sales service) ever reaches the right persons.
If somebody is here to listen, can we somehow have a UserVoice or MS's Feedback Hub like listings where we (each one of the Nokia user) can add new and vote on the existing problems that he/she is facing and then the top voted problems are taken care of first. Similar for feature requests, of course only if HMD decides to flavour the OS keeping the users in mind.
I look at Microsoft, which is constantly evolving Windows and its Apps based on the feedback from their UserVoice topics, while we are stuck with an OS/apps/everything which is decided by somebody else (who itself doesn't essentially care about the users and their expectations with no way to vote/demand). 2 weeks ago, I faced an odd issue with Microsoft's SMS Organizer app wherein it won't restore my full backup. If it was a Google app, I'd be left writing on their product forums with barely any chance that anybody would look; but since it is Microsoft, emailed them on their feedback email, somebody followed up, promised to have a look, asked for logs, then shared a test version privately to see if that fixes the issue. Boom issue fixed and app pushed to Play Store. THAT IS SERVICE. Both apps are free to use, but there's a reason why I disabled the Google's Messaging app and went with Microsoft's.
HMD, it is really high time that you take things in your hands and steer the wheel based on what your users expect. Else, I'm sorry, but it doesn't take too long for things to get out of hand and once they do, they don't come back.
If you really need feedback and appreciate it, please start collecting it properly. After that, please start using it properly to improve your existing products. If that's not done, no, Nokia phones do not get better over time. If a new OS update is here to bring new features, but breaks existing, it is probably worse. I still miss the camera app where I was able to control the placement of the watermark. Why did you take that away?
Dear HMD, please talk to us, listen to us, engage with us. It's only then that it becomes a win-win situation for all.
bhai kisi ka time pass na ho raha ho or kisi ka blood pressure low to contact nokia customer care support helpline wo apka time pass krwanege bina solution kiye unhone har baat pe apko bolna hai visit near service centre. To koi ye btaye bhai fr aap log waha bethe kyu ho .
Hi @matteo.m, surely there were more questions, enough for us to have a video every week, not every 4 weeks! In fact I know there were more questions, I can see them online...
Come on HMD, don't be nervous, don't be shy, funny over-edit, have some confidence in how your execs appear on camera (especially as you've decided to isn't this AMA as a video rather than the usual written way...).
Speaking of which, when are we going to see @sanjoy again to deliver on his promise of answering every question in his AMA?
Otherwise you're not really treating the community with respect at all are you.
Hey Thank u very much HMD/Nokia for giving me Nokia BH 501 wireless earphone for free ,. I am contest winner and just delivered today these , absolutely loving this
Now nearly two months since the last video. This is really a very very poor way to treat the loyal fans who posted those questions and reasonably expected most of them to be answered in a timely fashion.
I hope that this pause is as a consequence of @edo leaving and @matteo.m and others having to cover his duties so not having time to spend on these AMA videos. How is the recruitment for @edo's replacement going @tim.m? Will they join the team soon?
