    Have a new Nokia 6.1 and updated to Android 9 Pie. Everything seems to be working fine except for Gmail which won't send emails. They go into the Outbox and say "queued". If I try to send them again from there it says no connection, but I have a good WiFi connection and everything else works with the internet. Tried Re-syncing and also tried clearing the Gmail cache and data but this had no effect. Anyone know any fix for this problem?

    You can try clearing gmail data cache. As a last resort, Uninstall and reinstall gmail app.

    Camera problem..I can't continue video recording. I can record at least two minutes..then the video stopped.

    Maybe the OS heat engine is stopping the camera app from overheating the phone.

    Tried clearing the data cache but didn't work. Can't uninstall Gmail as it's a system cache.

    Disable the app and enable the app after some time. That will clear all app data and cache.

    Hi! I bought a Nokia 6.1 and I wanted to know if there is a way to set the sd card as the main storage device or, at least, set the sd card as the default memory for downloaded files from the web or Whatsapp. Thanks!

    Yes, you can use two sims in the hybrid sim slot provided in nokia 6.1.

    Yes. You insert the new sdcard, system will detect it and ask for format permission. Give permission and choose the sdcard as default memory for all downloads. Whatsapp does not allow storage on sdcards.

    The TA-1054 is a Chinese variant not on the Android One program. You probably have a custom ROM based on Android One installed by whomever sold it to you. Did you buy it used?

    I have since done some digging about the matter and found a few things:
    1) My device is not part of the Android One Program and most likely runs on a custom rom like you said (though I bought it brand new, not used).
    2) The recommended solution that keeps popping up is to flash the Official Chinese rom. Apparently the OTA updates function normally after one does that.

    How do I go about to do that? Would you recommend it or advise against it?

    Yes you can set the sdcard as a part of internat memory. But this might slow down phone performance. When you insert a new sdcard, system will ask permission to set the sdcard as a part of internal memory or secondary memory. You can choose one of the option.

    HI everyone, nokia 6.1 user here, so anyone know why the shortcut function of gallery applications like quick pick and picktures dont here in my phone?, worked prefectly on the old one i had, it is because of android 9?

    Hello. I bought 6.1 late last month. Great phone. I do have a question (since I can't find a 'post' button on the main page for the 6.1).

    When you guys plug in the charger, can you still use your phone?

    Because when I plug in the charger and it starts charging, double tapping the screen or pressing the power button only shows the battery icon being charged.
    I don't seem to get the Home screen even when the battery is still around 65% and then I plug the charger in.
    Then after it shows 100% and I unplug the charger, double tapping the screen does nothing-- The phone is off!
    I have to hold- press (>1 sec) the power button and the phone comes to life.
    But I did not shut off the phone before charging, why does it do that?

    Take backup and try factory reset. If it does not work, take phone to service center.

    When recording slow motion video the resolution of the video is very poor is there any option to improve .

    Yea I also noticed that, it happened after pie update ..when I had Oreo the slo-mo vid works like charm...but not anymore 😞I don't know why things have been soo unstable in nokia

    @iamsj i checked the slow mo video feature on my phone. You are right, the video is noisy and dark.

    Actually Nokia camera is THE most unstable camera app I've ever see in any smartphone of 21st century

    Nope...it all happened when I cleared the cache of the app..
