I'm too facing the same problem since few months and now highly irritated by the same. Initially was think that it is a software bug and will be sorted by Nokia guys, but it has not been resolved by the Nokia as of now. This was my most expensive phone I ever bought and super frustrated by it now.
Pathetic support. Least expected from Nokia, specially when you are re-launching the brand in India. Please do something
I had the same issue for 5 months, did everything I could think of software side and steps Nokia support told me to do, in the end they said to send it to repair center. I did, it took them 4 days to replace the screen and send it back to me, it's been 3 weeks since I got it back and no issue.
It often happens that when the phone is pulled out of my pocket, the screen stops working. It does not happen every time. When that happens I have to turn off the screen and unlock it again. This is unacceptable for a phone of 430 €! I take care of the phone and it did not come out of my hand. Nokia needs to recognize the error and invite users to replace the screens. If there is no error in the service, then I lost two days on the road. Who will make up for trouble. If this continues, the next phone will not be Nokia.
Hi guys,
My solution is this: Do this (thanks to lakshaykaura )
Step 1: Ensure charger not connected. Press Volume Up + Power for 20 seconds and let your device do force restart.
Step 2: Go to Settings > Apps & notifications > See all apps > Click on three dots on right and select "Show system" > Search for app name "Android system" > Force Stop > Storage > Clear Cache
Step 3: Again Press Volume Up + Power for 20 seconds and let your device do force restart.
and Step 4: THEN GO TO DEVELOPER OPTIONS(INPUTS) AND TURN ON SHOW TAPS.

Works for me, 2 days no freezing
I tried it. In the end, it happens again that it does not react to the touch. I think it has something to do with humidity and how long the screen was turned off.
I am facing the same problem and i noticed someone here mentioning a video so this problem came sudden admin as regular using the phon this problem came suddenly some times too late some times twice and again in 20mints so how we create a video, even i am typing nw bt its work properly nw
OK I also tried every fix I found on internet, what customer chat suggested and problem was not solved. I had the screen replaced at beginning of June and now no issues. It is indeed an hardware issue that can only be solved with screen replacement. Dont waste your time trying any fixes related to software.
Nokia confirmed the issue. After checking my imei code he said a fix will come together with the next security update. This suggests they selectively fix the issue per imei range. It could explain why some claim the problem disappeared after an update.
i am too facing same issue in my Nokia 7 plus. screen freezes and locking and unlocking resolves it temporary. this happens multiple times a day. I had submitted my phone at service center in warranty period they just done a firmware change and said issue resolved. but its not. it happened again but this time i couldn't reach service center before warranty expiry and service center rejected my phone to repair in warranty. I was late for 12 hours . We paid 26K for this defective piece of ..... device. A regretted Nokia FAN

Care to share the communication between you and Nokia? Really curious on what exactly they told you.
OK... I noticed that the problem occurs more often when mobile temperature is high.. and it is hot summer where I live So did any one noticed something?
I've really noticed no pattern to it at all. It can go a few days without problem. Then it's back for a while. Day/Night makes no difference. What apps I've been using doesn't matter. Sometimes mid typing it stops till locked unlocked. Other times when the phone is idle.
Today I received a reply on a Youtube video I created about the Nokia issue:
I change my screen and the problem is still here. 140 usd for screen and same problem
So even when you manage to get the screen replaced, there's no guarantee that the problem will be solved. This still sounds like a software/driver issue.
Sad to hear Nokia has still not presented a solution, after all this time. I know what phone brand I won't be looking at for my next purchase...

And since the update no freeze yet. But in this chat I did report my imei code before this response was given. If the picture is not shown, let me know.3

Well, just wrote all was well after the update, and there was the freeze again... I'm going to wait for the second one to happen. If it does, I will send it back where it came from.
