Till now, DP Build 5 seems so much better than DP Build 3.. The initial experience is smooth
Can you share major issues as well as any improvement over last build issues. @Emmanuel Ipinmoye 1.Download Platform Tools From Link On PC. 2.Set Environment Variable named Path as platform tools bin folders location on PC. 3.Enable USB Debugging On Mobile.

Till now, I didn't faced any major issues, camera is working better than expected, UI is smooth, dark mode is even better, full navigation gestures available. UI experience as for me has really improved alot than DP 3.
One thing that I noticed that charging is a bit slower and I feel like fast charging isn't working. Battery drainage is faster compared to Android 9 Pie (expected).

Anyone facing screen freeze after ideal time (~30 mins) wake up?
Yes I faced this just after I made my last comment here. The screen went all white and nothing was working but then after 1 min, it restarted automatically
the key thing here is i'm not sure i have the patience.
LOL. I understand but as this is just a Developer Preview which has bugs and not recommended for using as a Daily Driver it is better to wait. May be by that time they will come with the new version with lesser bugs. 😁
Hi @Emmanuel Ipinmoye, it's great that you want to try the latest version of Android! However, please don't take offence but from the questions you've asked I don't think the developer preview is for you. At least as @Kartik Gada says, wait for the OTA to become available and only install it if there is an OTA downgrade back to Pie also available! The ADP has high potential to make your phone unusable as a daily phone. Personally I would never recommend it to anyone who does not have a spare smartphone they can use daily instead. The last thing we want is for you to be disappointed.
As for wiping data, the process of installing the ADP software will erase all of the data on your phone. The information on the ADP webpage which you quote is a warning not an instruction.

My phone freezes all the time, so I flashed it back to Pie.
This update is very unstable, nothing to test or report cuz there's no enough time to do these between freezing & restarting.
How developers could test their apps on a phone just keeps rebooting?
Frequently rebooting ?? Mine did just once till now
Yes, it's frequent for me too. Sorry I didn't experience that earlier. Just now it was like 20 mins white screen then it restarted. Flashing back to 9 Pie.

I have successfully flashed from Pie to beta 5 with a SD card, a data cable and a changer. Gesture navigation has been very smooth. Frozen only once. Netflix is not available yet. Decided to stay on this build for daily use and wait for updates.

also, can someone explain to me how to wipe all user data? is there another way to do it apart from a "factory reset"

Go to Properties of My PC/Computer of your pappy/Desktop and their you will find environment variable..
Click on environment variable --> Now set a path their by copy and pasting the location of platform tools
Seems a bit confusing but it's very easy
