Nokia 6 New Pie Build and Oct Security Patch

Update just arrived for Nokia 6 today. A good relieve for a two year old device. I guess there won't be any improvement especially the camera which is really sucks.

    Nope. Mine is TA-1021 so this update isn't likely the last update, at least for my device.

    you were right. the system update just pop-up on my notification right now. which has the latest pie build update (october). it seems this is a fully build ota update.

    im currently using nougat 7.1.2 jan 2018 update.

    Nokia 6 TA-1021 Full OTA build with October security update.

    Android 9 PIE (V6.19B)

    can be apply in any lower version of android. 7.1/8.1 directly to the latest pie build update. apply it via sdcard in recovery.
    do it at your own risk.

    Nothing here yet on the TA-1025 in Canada.

    Still there is no update for Nokia 6 TA 1021 India . Anyone got the update

    Nothing for the TA-1033 in the UK either yet but it was only announced yesterday so the update will be released in due course when the sever let's it

    I think that October update will come soon available, because October updates were released to some other Nokia models already on 9th October, but they are delivered as OTA-updates step by step by countries and operators. 

    But to other models is just SP = Security Patch and not MR = Maintenance Release.

    Have you guys with model number (-1000/-1003/-1025/-1033/-1039) get the update today? Strange that the update take days to reach all model numbers unlike previous MR (April I believe). I read yesterday those models still haven't received this October MR.

    Anyway, my experience so far:
    -Snappier UI performance
    -Fingerprint finally works as it used to be in Oreo

    All of those models would eventually receive Android 10 so HMD might think it's better to send monthly SP until their scheduled Android 10 update.

    It's out now as I have updated my phone and it's taken a while to do but it's done and after this one don't forget it's every 3 months when you get the next update and I found that my phone is slightly faster than it was but that is my opinion so the update is available from now onwards for you to upload to your phone

    Yes I got it for my phone today and yes I felt the device is snappier than before.
