6.1+ update issue and device not certified issue fixed.

Hi folks,  As everyone know most 6.1+ users were facing charging port issue and once it is fixed from service centre, the device was not getting updates.

Hi folks, 

As everyone know most 6.1+ users were facing charging port issue and once it is fixed from service centre, the device was not getting updates. The main reason for this was the device was not play protect certified. You can check this by following the below step : Open playstore > Settings > Play protect certification, check whether it is mentioned device is certified or device is not certified. So how to fix whose device is not certified. Goto service center and ask them to install lower version os. If possible ask them install 3.51H version or the version whic has July security patch because most of the users who is not receiving update will be on August security patch. Visit the service center and the issue will be solved. My device is now play protect certified and has October security patch installed.

    Hi,

    I also got my 6.1 plus charging issue resolved in September and was facing the same issue. I went to the service center and asked them to downgrade, which they refused. In the meantime my warranty period was also over. So, I contacted nokia mobile via their Facebook page and told them about the issue. They asked for my contact number. The next day I received a call from another service center in my city and they told me that apparently the issue is not with the 3.54 version. The service center is supposed to apply some patch / script after the software installation, which most of the service center doesn't care to do. They asked me to come to their service center. I went there and they resolved it. They reinstalled the 3.54 version and applied the patch. Now the device is certified on play store and is updated upto October security patch. And also, they did this for free even though the warranty was over.

    The response from nokia Facebook page was very quick and the issue got resolved too. You guys can reach out to them regarding this.
