Hi all, Here is a new edition of “I took a picture.” We’re going a bit of a different path with today’s edition.
Hi all,
Here is a new edition of “I took a picture.” We’re going a bit of a different path with today’s edition.
We’re asking you to share one of your favorite photos you’ve ever taken on a Nokia phone and also to tell us why it is your favorite and what you were thinking when you took it.
It can be a picture of anything, it just has to be one of your favorites and we want to know the story behind it! Don’t forget to let us know which Nokia phone you used to take the picture and if any after effects have been added!
I’m starting with this picture of some cherry blossoms. Taken on #Nokia9PureView and testing the Bokeh effect.
I always wanted to see cherry trees in full blossom like on the pictures you can see from Japan. Unfortunately, traveling to Japan hasn’t been possible yet, but Helsinki has this little place called “Roihuvuoren kirsikkapuisto.” In the right time of the year (mid-end May) you can witness the beauty of cherry blossoms (and on one weekend there is even a Hanami festival). This photo was taken the first time I have been there and it is so special to me because my family was here as well and we could experience this view together while having a picnic. It was just one of those perfect spring days 😊

I think it shows perfectly how autumn looks like here. I love walking around on the beach and taking pictures. At the time I was very relaxed and almost in a meditative state and decided to capture the moment, so I can look back at it and feel the same tranquility.
Fall is not my favorite season, but I prefer it to winter and this was one of my last walks before the cold and snow arrive.

This picture has been taken in a national park in Finland in September. I took a 4 hour hike and stumbled across this extremely colourful fly agaric. I just love the sharpness and colours that the photo reflects. 🍄📷
Hi @HMDLaura - er, wow! How on earth did you get that branch in such sharp definition? The 9PV algorithms seem to have worked very well around the petals as well, so clearly there has been some improvements since the early versions of the software.
Here's one I took whilst thinking "I hope this comes out well!".
Cheers 😀
@HMDLaura stunning Bokeh... Loved colour and sharpness too.
Here attached one of my favourite pic which I shoot recently in monsoon. It was pouring hard and foggy weather but my Nokia 6.1 plus really preserved all details with awesome quality. I didn't expected at first that my phone will a able to click such a good shot. At same time my friend kept his phone inside waterproof bag to keep safe. But my Nokia 6.1 plus did really good job even in such harsh weather conditions.

This one is my fav shoot which I clicked this summer with 2x zoom on nokia 6.1
While clicking this it was so hot and sunny but you can see in picture that everything is really well balanced. Everything is so sharp and well focused.

I took this picture when I went on vacation to the north western part of the United States. I took it on my Nokia 9 PureView. It's one of my favorites because I love trees and the outdoors. This coastal redwood was so incredibly massive and beautiful. I love the color and detail that the phone captured. Too bad cameras don't do massive trees justice 🙂
Hi @madbilly
to be honest my knowledge in taking photos is pretty basic so I didn't do anything special and let the phone do the work. The picture was taken in May I don’t remember which software I was on at that point – but at I personally had never an issue with the camera itself. I think your picture turned out well :D which phone did you use?
@Lazysince1995
Oh wow, that looks stunning. May I ask where this was taken?
also @Ethan_MS-DOS your pic is amazing. I'm a tree person too :D so can imagine it was a great trip.
Thanks @HMDLaura 😀 It was taken with my Nokia 8. For a quick snap it has come out quite well, but the focus should be on the waterfall not on the tree opposite, and it could be a bit lighter (but it was late afternoon in autumn) so it's far from perfect.
Cheers 😁
@madbilly I took that pic at Jog falls, Shivamoga, Karnataka, India.
@HMDLaura thank you! 😄
The story and thoughts: Google or some vandals deleted the local Doktorparken, Randers, Denmark from Maps, so I decided to re-create the point of interest and add a handful of pictures to serve as appetizers. This one is about the tranquillity of the place, without most of the usual ducks and seagulls! Taken October 20, 2018 late afternoon to get the grass, autumn light and clouds right.

Hello @HMDLaura thats a great intitative , Happy to see some thing new edition from Nokia ☺️,
From first day from purchase of Nokia 7 plus I take Thousand of pictures and recently I get hands on Nokia 7.2 also I took many pictures which are taken by me on both device as I love to click flower, macro and bokeh shot mostly i use external macro lens to click extrem shot of insect and flowers but recently I went one place to click pictures for my comparison task of Nokia 7.2 , while clicking some picture i see one spider on plant and it's to tiny.
Here are that picture which I taken without any external macro lens From Nokia 7.2
and pleased to get this picture without any external macro lens, i am use to to click picture with 2x on Nokia 7 plus but here that feature is not available on Nokia 7.2 , On Nokia 7.2 it's clicked without any zoom and that's why this on is my latest favourite picture for now and I am sharing with you all ☺️
Hope you all also like it ☺️
In india , we celebrate a religious festival called Ram Navami in this some devotees perform in the Avatar of goddes kali and others suport him having swords in the hands. At the event in my home-town i was covering the whole celebration and i just clicked this photo with my Nokia 7 Plus . I love this photo becouse of the authenticity of the emotions, pure and raw . Goddes kali is known for the abolition of the evil and this picture depicts the thought very strongly. I am always fascinated by this photo . I colour poped this one to increase the intensity of the expression.

@chiraggohil awesome macro shot man... Loved the tiny details..
@ranu Thats awesome shot buddy. Vibrant India.....
Thank you bhai @Lazysince1995 ☺️
I really like these I Took A Picture things. I’ve always loved seeing different parts of the world and learning about different cultures. And, pictures are an amazing way of doing just that. Every photo has a story 🙂
Thank you bro 🙂 🇮🇳 @Lazysince1995
Hi all
Thanks for all your photos and the positive feedback to this thread 😊.
@chiraggohil I'm usually not a big fan of spiders but this one is just too cute. I really like that shot - thanks for sharing.
@ranu thanks for sharing your photo. It really delivers emotion. I also love the color pop on this one
Thank you @HMDLaura glad you like it 😊
Thank you so much @HMDLaura 🙂🙏
This is still my favorite photo.I captured this by Nokia Phone. This Child is just 7-8 Months Old at that time and His expression is awesome just like his Blue Eyes.
Great shot @nitin kachare .. lovely picture.
The results from wide angle is really great. 118° is the perfect angle . Nokia's wide angle camera shot provided a clean shot while most of others gives a stretched photo.
NOKIA 7.2 is great with wide angle shots.
That's awesome man @thanoofnaina
Took this photo couple of months ago in Bohol, Philippines using my nokia 7plus. To be able to fully utilized the telephoto lens I click 2x zoom use the pro mode macro shot on this one and turned out beautiful. Love the bokeh effect here as well.

First of all, a VERY BIG thank you for making this suggestion a reality. 😊
This thread has really beautiful images and the main reason for this has to be the "Share your thoughts". Every good photo has a story behind it. :)
Now, coming to the image I am sharing. I like to call it The Lifeline.
Was wondering what to capture with the new Nokia 9 PureView that I recently received and captured this moment in the Mumbai Local Train AKA The life line of Mumbai. Hence the title. 🙂
It is the life line of Mumbai and can bring the entire city to a halt if it stops functioning which thankfully never happens.
This was captured at around 10PM. The train was almost empty and all these people are heading back home after working hard for the entire day. The monochrome mode of the Nokia 9 PureView brings this photo to life. Yes, colours look lively but B&W adds emotions and always does the magic. I tried to capture these people in a relaxed mood waiting for their stations to arrive. Relaxed in a Mumbai Local = A rare sight (More people travel in Mumbai local everyday than the entire population of Switzerland). You will mostly find over crowded trains with not so relaxed people. 🤣
I would like to say that, If you can travel in a Mumbai Local you can travel by any train in any part of this entire world. 😜
Hi everybody! All of you have taken great pictures. This thread is GOLD so far. Plus, it is nice knowing a bit about the background of the pictures taken. Kinda makes the photos talk.
Looking forward to see more :)
thanks🙂🙂
Hi all,
thanks for these wonderful pictures and stories behind it!
@Kartik Gada thanks for sharing this picture. I totally agree that the B&W adds emotion to the shot. Thanks for sharing this and the story to the community 😄.
I try my best to bring some of the suggestions made by our Community member to live. Happy that this thread gets so much appreciation and hope to see many more pictures and stories.
Best regards,
Laura
