Screen seems nice and vibrant compared to last years Banana Phone. Because the case is glossy it is a fingerprint magnet. Speaker seems adequate. Hardware volume buttons and a customizable button for either Google Assistant or an Emergency button. This makes the phone similar to last years Dora KaiOS phone. The outer screen functions as a clock and notification reminder. The screen is not always on. Camera is the usual 2MP fixed focus with LED flash. Battery life in use is probably about 2 to 3 days. The figures quoted by Nokia of 27 days are only achievable in airplane mode and the phone not touched. If you uninstall Whatsapp then you would probably get a week or so.The keyboard seems good unlike the Banana phone which seemed to have key bounce I chose the black phone as the keyboard is easy to see in all lighing conditions. Pale keys and backlit white LEDs don’t work well in daylight. The phone does have a 3.5mm headphone jack 👍Software. 4/5This phone runs the very latest version of KaiOS 2.5.2. This offers significant improvements to 2.5.1. This includes new Home screen icons and different navigation options. The Navi key has short cuts as well. Left brings up a screen showing all the social and Google Apps . The right brings up Contacts. Centre push of the Navi Key starts Google Assistant. Up for settings such as Bluetooth, Wifi, ringer volume. The phone also sports a File Manager. Contacts no longer show profile pictures. I think this was done to speed up the contacts app.Whatsapp, Twitter Lite and Facebook Lite come pre-installed but are removable.Hopefully this version of KaiOS will eventually be made available for last years Kaios powered phones such as the Banana phone.Google Maps is excellent for use when walking. Just select your destination point and show route. Press advance at each junction. It is not a sat nav as such but a list of directions with a close map of each turn. You Tube works surprisingly well. Ideal for watching short videos such as phone reviewsGoogle Assistant excellent for basic task.Obviously if you sign in with your Google account you get synchronization with your Android phone.Email client and calendar functional. At the end of the day if you regard this phone as a solid feature phone with smart extras you shouldn't be disappointed.2

@Lazysince1995 I think that Whatsapp makes a lot of difference. Parents can be in family groups.3

Does the LED double up as a flashlight keith. This will be make or break for me. The 515 had an led camera but no flashlight. I’ve noticed the oneida has come down in price but this looks better. If no torch then its the 800 tough. Can you do a review on that too?
Many thanks keith1 -
It's overpriced.0

Also you can turn the torch on by long press the up key, same as the Banana phone.

Flip phones are big when opened. Going to get the new doro. I think it’s kaios but deffo has whatsapp and a selfie 📷. Whats your thoughts on this keith?

@duberry seems good. On the Doro website it states 500 contacts but I doubt that is correct. Expect it is a lot more. Doro website doesn't state OS or hardware. Worth trying out in an EE store. Will be interested on your decision. The 2720 Flip is much better than the 8110. Better buttons and the additional volume buttons make it more user friendly. KaiOS 2.5.2 seems better than 2.5.1
I wonder if it runs the same OS as the Mobiwire Oneieda. If so there will be no app store or Google services.

Thanks for the well written review. Wanted to get this phoen for a while now but it seems to be sold out nation wide in Malaysia.1 -
More observations. You can do a print screen (screen capture) by pressing the * and # keys together. The YouTube automatically shows video clips in full screen and you can adjust volume level by the 1 or 3 keys as well as the side buttons.

Right quick review of the doro 7010.
Software is doro’s own OS as they use on the older doro’s. No app store but have facebook lite and whatsapp. Not sure how they got it on there. It feels like the version that was on the nokosi. But the phone is just too big and the whatsapp too fiddly.
Good points: The way the software and home screen were laid out was intuitive you had calls and messages and ofcourse menu. You could go into messages or calls and select whatsapp or normal voice and whatsapp messages and normal text! Normal tools were on there like calculator, camera etc...
There is a 3megapixel camera and 2mp front facing camera and done whatsapp voice calls. Had lots of options for feature phone and torch.
Bad points: I wanted to like this as not bothered about app store. But the whatsapp was very fiddly. You could select different things but nothing would happen you had to up untill a cursor came into view and use that for selecting stuff. When you selected a message it would invert the colours to make it virtually impossible to read. You can only scroll back about 5 messages. Disappointing.
kepad buttons for quite a big phone were disappointing to say the least. Too small and tje phone was a bit slippery. At least it wasn’t glossy finish.
I remember the s40 version of the Nokia 515 and it was brilliant and simple to use. In fact I rue I lost this phone. I feel kaios is the way forward as yet to use kaios yet. Nokia’s will come down soon. I feel £100 for the tough is pushing it.
I have bought this https://shop.ee.co.uk/mobile-phones/pay-as-you-go/alcatel-3088-payg/details
It’s smaller and cheaper. Nokia also own a stake in Alcatel so can’t go wrong.
I’ll update later.

I have one of these phones and also quite nice it at has a lot of problems. I liked the original Nokia 2720 fold so when I heard about this I sought to buy one when they became available but remain very disappointed. I purchased mine from Argos for £90.00 which is by far the most money I have ever paid for a phone in fact it was nearly twice the price I my previous Nokia but not half as good. There are many things wrong with this phone but by far is the dreadfully unreliable tedious software.Until recently I couldn't do an update and neither Kaios nor Nokia had an answer but now that's been sorted however that update hasn't solved any of the bugs all it's done is add more things in the store. Texting on this phone is tedious unlike the new 3310 which is great.Series 40 would have been quicker, better and more reliable than Kaios rubbish! Then there's Nokia's claim that this phone is build to last yet I managed to break my external screen by cycling with my phone in my trousers pocked which doesn't come under warranty. Then there's the dreadful battery life lasting barely 3 days and that's if you switch the phone on,turn the screen down, make or receive no phone calls, have no bluetooth or internet on.If this phone cost £50.00 I would recommend the 3310 instead but the 2720 flip isn't worth half that in my opinion all in all the Nokia 2720 flip is a bad buy!

Btw, how did you solve the update problem? On my phone, the system update always gets stuck in 100 % downloading and doesn't get past that. Wiping the cache partition in recovery didn't help.
